Seantrel

No clue if the dude is smoking weed, and have no problem with people who do (as long as they aren't stealing my ***** to get it, and are otherwise good citizens). That said, if I'm CEO of a major college football team, I have a zero tolerance policy on weed for anyone and everyone associated with the program. 1. it's illegal, and getting busted for it is a black eye on the program. 2. it negatively affects concentration, cognition, and performance. 3. it promotes unhealthy eating habits. 4. it promotes unhealthy sleep habits and lethargy. 5. it inhibits their ability to be good students (I know this from personal experience) and remain academically eligible. Flunk one test, or get busted, you're suspended for 3 games. Flunk another one, don't let the door hit you on the way out. You gone. I sincerely hope this is not an issue on this team.

A joint here and there doesn't have any impact on you.

Wrong.

Lol, you must be like 120 lbs or have very low tolerance.

Sebastian sounds like a ***** when it comes to weed.... you have NO clue what ur talking about buddy.

how r u gon post this figurative speech about ur "ZERO Tolerance policy" on weed but then give a kid a 2nd chance at being on the team? wtf r u sayn?

Henderson is the main reason Morris is hurt! Look at the the sack he gave up against SSU and USF! He is inconsistent, of course we need him. He needs to put down the weed and really learn his play book. He has all the measurables to be a number one pick, but yet he continues to do dumb stuff. He didn't start FAU game for the same reason!

It was actually Cleveland who missed the block. I went back and watched when someone brought this up when it happened. Seantrel was playing LT on the play but Cleveland had the DE while Seantrel was doubling the tackle.

Zone, you got that good ganj?

lol yeah we got Cali and Seattle weed in Atlanta so i smoke good.

I dont get high out of my mind like i use to in my young college days but i smoke as a stress reliever every other day or every couple of days.

If you are responsible enough to control the urge to smoke all day and just smoke on ur down time, then you can handle ur business easily.

These guys have a job to do. They have to perform on the field and off. They have to represent the program in a positive way. A joint "here and there" inhibits their ability to do those things. Like I said, no problem with people who do. It should be legalized and regulated like alcohol is (think of the potential tax revenue!).

And zero tolerance doesn't mean one pop, and you're gone. It means that there are consequences for getting popped once (3 games, plus the ridicule of your peers for letting the team down). Don't learn your lesson and get popped again? Gone.

3 game suspension for 1 positive is absurd. You have to fail 3 tests at the professional level to catch a suspension like that. These are college kids we are talking about here.

It's not absurd. They would be college kids doing something that's illegal and detrimental to their performance. If I were the CEO, that's how I'd do it. Thankfully for these college kids, no one is hiring me to be the CEO of a college football team anytime soon.

WRONG......

that LSU team w/ the Honey Badger were hiding failed drug test, thats how bad their team was gettin high, and they still had success on the field.

You think Jenoris Jenkins, Joe Haden, and Brandon Spikes wasnt getting high while they were competing for national championships.... Urban Meyer didnt give a **** as long as they were winning.

You think Michael Irvin just got into doing coke and weed in the NFL??? c'mon man

.... the only time it's negative is when you get caught up, but usually they dont even disclose that info anyway.

So should every student on scholarship, athlete or not, be punished for smoking pot? Surely someone who is on an academic scholarship is hurting the good faith the University put in them to work at their very peak intellect.

Yes it does. It can get you suspended from your football team , and cost you millions in draft money.

I didn't mean it in that context.

I meant for most normal people, getting high once or twice every few months with pot has no substantial effects on your health.

For self-fish reasons the kid should get his **** together.

1. He isn't the every down OT (i.e. Flowers), he also has not demonstrated his elite prowess that people claim he has,

2. This is not the first time, or second time, and

3. The NFL draft is coming up and you are out of eligibility. This effects the amount of money you make after this year.

Academic scholarships are annual and have to be renewed by the university each year. A slip in academic performance results in loss of that scholarship.

You've made my point for me with those examples.

Lol you can't say you meant it in a certain context when you quoted me and I wasn't using the same context.

But whatever helps you sleep at night.

Maybe if you laid off the weed, your reading comprehension would improve. The point about getting suspended and letting your teammates down has been part of my argument from the beginning.

Look man, your "argument" is a dumb one and everyone seems to agree that it's a dumb one.

So light one up and relax. It's not that serious.

It's ok to be wrong.
