Scrimmage take...

Allison's still sitting on the bench though, but yes it's starting to reveal itself about their recruiting.

Still seems like missing out on Deshaun fuels Richt's QB decision making now.

I'm all on board with the dual threat QB "phenomenon", but I wonder if he is passing on other important QB traits in the belief he will coach them up.
Maybe Allison was hot garbage from Richt's perspective, but I often wonder how much worse than Rosier he really could have been. He should have stuck around to win the job, but apparently he got the vibe that wasn't ever going to happen.

Hey man he refuses to believe football has changed since 30 years ago
I don't believe it's changed so much that 31 TD's has become insignificant trash to be lightly dismissed in favor of an unproven quantity. You just said you're not old enough to have seen Dorsey play 16 years ago. Don't talk about the evolution of football over the last 30 years as if you know what you're talking about. Malik Rosier provided the first 10 win season at Miami you've ever seen. I watched Kosar play. I was alive for all five championships. I know what the standard is for a QB at Miami, and I know that Malik did not live up to that standard in 2017. But I also know 31 TD's is not garbage you just replace with a guy who can't beat him out in practice.

Nah. This is why i said you gotta really pay attention to whats said. Whats been said is malik is far ahead in knowing what to do. Anotherwords mentally he knows this is what he's supposed to do. But physically & mentally have zerobto do with each other. Cause if he was physically doing it as well this wouldnt be a conversation any longer. Hed say malik is executing everything asked of him.

I don't know who is ahead in the race but am doubtful that the coaches would come out and say Perry (for example) is now winning the battle. At least not this early. I think they're saying whatever they need to say to keep the battle as productive as possible. Also, it seems like every interview I've read/seen the coaches are constantly finding different ways to say that Malik is still needing to be a better leader, etc. Based on those that have seen practice and have no filter - it appears he's not playing well and still throwing the ball in the dirt on bubble screens...which is disheartening.

Sick it's not like I played d1 football or anything but what do I know

Rosier is a back up QB for any other ACC school. If Perry, Weldon or Williams don't beat him out then I will be very disappointed. No ******* spinning it. Look at his numbers against anyone with a pulse. Average at best!
You must not have seen the Duke and BC QB play, those guys were downright awful.

It’s not as dire as a situation like that. Let’s be real about the situation we still have the best stable of qbs in Florida. It’s close between Miami and FSU at the position who are both far ahead of uf . 3600 yard qb 31 touchdowns in 13 games. Think about the missed opportunities rosier missed last year. He could have put up a ridiculous season statistically if he didn’t go through that horrible stretch the last 7 games.

Look I’m one of rosier biggest haters but I know At the end of the day if N’Kosi ain’t ready I dont Want to force him out there either. He’s got to show something in live game situations which he hasn’t yet from scrimmages. I’m very intrigued by Jarren Williams though and hope he wins it

I like Williams as well. I also wouldn't put Rosier in front of Frenchie either (although I don't know how he fits Taggart's offense) in terms of overall skill set.

I believe the term that I used was an an absurd comparison, which is why I didn't make it. However I do think that if the Michigan QB had 1 less TD in two seasons than the Miami QB did in one season because of the system Michigan runs, I would think that speaks more to Michigan having a horrible system than it does Miami having a horrible QB.

And that was over 20 years ago. Offenses aren't what they used to be in the late 90's. Sticking with Michigan, Speights is arguably one of the worst starting QBs from last year among Power 5 QBs, yet in 3 years he had 24 TDs; one season where he played significant snaps.

Don’t think he’s healthy yet, but he does have a strong arm with accuracy issues(not as bad as malik) but even with that rosier was still more productive

And please stop with this “hard to believe richt hasn’t found a qb in year 3” mantra yet that some have been employing lately....

When he got here in 2016 he had Brad kaaya an established starter as the qb and for better or worse he left prematurely but he wasn’t a clear fit for richt system. 2017 he started rosier a guy with limited experience who overall performed okay for half of the season and was disastrous the second half but still won 4 out of 7 games. Was anybody satisfied with Rosie’s performance down the stretch? No and you know richt defintiely wasn’t which is why they aren’t just going to hand him the job if he doesn’t deserve it... we need this qb battle period

Malik probably faced as many Top 50 defenses as any QB last year as well. He didn't play a cream puff schedule of ds.

Yes, he is average, but the hate here is laughable.

LOL, because you claim to have played D1 that's supposed to make your opinion more valid? Are we going to start listing our "credentials" now to bolster our argument?
I mean when he's calling me out for knowing nothing for being too young ... Yes ? Idk what to tell you I'm not a cuck lol

That's great. But why did he play like crap against mediocre teams - Duke, UNC, Pitt, and UVA?

http://www.espn.com/college-football/player/_/id/3123047/malik-rosier
Do you actually watch games????

We beat Duke (Overall #21 D in the nation) 31-6, he had 270 yards passing, 2TD (A 163 QB rating) and ran for 45 yards and a TD.

Against UNC he threw for 356 yards and 3TDs, on the road in a win

Against UVA he threw for 3 TDs and ran for another TD in a blowout win

Tell me you are not serious?? TELL ME

SMH, you are no longer to give QB "analysis" IMO
