So many runs where you thought he wouldn’t get the yardage he needed but he got that and more. If I’m a team I’m picking him back end of day 2 or in the 4th round

Hate to say it but with Emory at QB and the current DC, we are 5-7 next year. Get a top portal QB and you can steal 1 or 2 games. replace Guidry with a quality DC and you might get another game maybe 2. Just don't see anyway this team wins more than 7.

This is the case for most of the DB's in SF.

But when I point this out, I have to hear about every 6th & 7th round draft pick that plays kickoff coverage for some losing NFL team.

emory won't be our qb and guidry won't be our dc ... both were playing for their jobs yesterday and both failed ... guidry failed miserably at that

we can get this fixed ... but gotta get a good dc and strong coaches at the position group ... taylor is safe because of the cashe, i think ... nicholson may be as well do to recruiting prowess ... everybody else need to tighten up they resume

I'm a little worried Guidry is going to be here for next season. I know going by history, Mario is very slow on making changes on the OC/DC. Last time around Mario hired Shannon Dawson Feb 14th just in time for Valentines and Guidry was hired on Feb 7th. So we find out in Feb?

Gattis and Steele were also hired in early Feb

I would beg Martinez to come back. Typically RBs can come in and flash consistently as a freshman. Lyle had that long td early in the year and he showed some fight on a couple runs that got us excited, but he didn’t flash consistently enough to assume a huge sophomore leap is a given.

And I don’t want to hear the coaches talk about how he looks in practice against our own defense.

No one should be safe. The main reason being is that the next DC needs to be able to build his own staff without Mario meddling and forcing coaches on them. Hire someone worthy and then let them have free reign to hire their own staff.

Btw there's no way Martinez is coming back. He got his 1k this season and he is off to the draft. Where he goes....who knows

He’s out , heading to the draft imo. Nothing else to improve as a college running back. Showed plenty of power and burst. Other than fluke fumble on the first play of this game hadn’t fumbled all year long

Yup-There’s a reason why they hit the portal hard for safeties and cornerbacks-

A lot of talented DB’s over the years down here but, coaching is not there.

i feel mc is a punching bag some times, an easy target and people tend to overlook his growth this year, especially on the offensive side ... but he'll deserve every arrow launch his way if he gambles on guidry

I agree. You can tell he thinks it’s still high school, this is CFB going against some real good talent and needs to be locked in 24/7. I guarantee you he never had to guard Shii or seen Shii like that on the field while in high school.

Guidry gotta go... No if's , and's or buts about it.... It's more than apparent the responsibilities at this level are too much for him to handle....
