Meanwhile, #Miami waits. NCAA COI expects to issue ruling on UM case in "next few weeks," according to a source. Won't be this week

I will sit around 24/7 hitting refresh. Starting next week.

Not.

Unless the penalties are just flat out ridiculous (i.e. another bowl ban) I don't really see how it affects the players. Even if the NCAA purposely drops the news before the UF game, what difference does it make the kids on the team that we will be on probation or have a few less scholarships next year? Those are the most tossed around punishments on here so I am just trying to figure out exactly how that will negatively affect the play on the field. I would totally understand kids losing their edge when they get a bowl game or post season play pulled out from under their feet, but I feel it would be beneficial just to get the **** thing over with so people stop asking them or talking about it no matter when it comes.

but **** the ncaa for dragging this thing out even longer than the absurd amount of time it's been

It's a distraction regardless of all of that.
People all around the university will be talking about it (friends, family, news, players, alums, ball boys).

It's already a distraction and has been one for 3 years. Pretty sure everyone will be relieved to get it over with.

We are likely to appeal, and that will put the ultimate decision out 6 to 9 months. This team will be in a bowl.
