I don't think the UM OC job was ever close to bring offered to him. Bradys spread offense is 180 degrees from Cristobals preferred style of O. This would require Cristobal to join the 21st century. I suspect a spread offense was totally off the table when Cristobal took the job, but given the recent struggles, maybe he will finally be receptive to a new philosophy.

We been running a spread offense the last couple weeks so he will adapt if needed
 
In Mario’s interview the other day, he said he couldn’t give a time table on how long the rebuilding process would be. One facto he mentioned was scheme and tweaking scheme…we can make our own conclusion on what that means but, maybe he is more flexible than we think.
 
Interesting tidbit thrown out in an article Gaby wrote this morning...

He says the Canes are in a dogfight for Okunlola. There is reason to believe he's quietly made his way to a few schools this fall, despite the fact he has the majority of his games on Saturdays...

The hope is he will still get down to campus for the FSU game this weekend on an unofficial visit.

Staff had a facetime call with him last week and still feel like they are in a good position.

One team Gaby mentions to be in the mix for sure is UF...
 
Mario is that guy on the trail. But when you supposedly “lead” for this long and everyone thinks a commitment or announcement was imminent for 6 months now and it’s crickets…. He’s usually gone.

Could Mario break another recruiting rule we had to follow here for so long? We will see

Wouldn't shock me to see the Gators go all out here to try and save face after the Cormani debacle. They lost a kid they were the perceived leader for for like a year to their in state rivals. Probably want to pay back the favor.

I don't believe we'll go into next season with two true freshman tackle starters. One of them will start and the other will be inside. The other starting tackle spot will be a portal guy imo.

I don't believe for a minute UF has a legit chance. This kid is all about marketability and NIL and UF may be able to offer $, but they can't offer the market that Miami can.

OSU makes sense. UF does not.

Also, Gaby saying UF is in the mix is because there was a national article saying they are trying to get him to campus last week for the last home game lol

Forget all that, just wait until he tries to “sneak in a visit” to hogtown and has to go through that planes, trains and automobiles adventure.
 
Looks like Gaby is back trying to create something since he was held out in the dark on Cormani.

Not that I think UF will get Sampson, but they do have Torrence playing at an All-American level and a few of their other linemen look good. They can at least sell a product.

But again, don’t think they’re a real threat as compared to Ohio St, etc.

To be fair to Gaby, I think he’s a victim of putting too much trust into his Gator247 colleagues. We’ve seen the level of arrogance and delusion they operate under. Samson is receptive to their calls so all of a sudden in their heads they lead and keep repeating it until everyone believes them.

After the embarrassing scenario losing Cormani I can see them throwing the Brinks truck at Samson & Ricks. We're clearly in UF's head and you can never underestimate a desperate man/program.

I think they go all out with a crazy bag at Rick's more so than Samson for some reason
