Samori Toure, WR, Montana

He’s obviously better than what we currently have but I actually thought the same. A lot of those were him catching with his body and not high pointing and attacking the balls like we’re criticizing our current guys of not doing. Id still take him cause we need all the help we can get, but wasn’t wow’ed by him.
Honestly if he is doing the same bread basket catching cant we just put some faith in the young WRs that are coming in?

Side note: Ive been to a Montana game...great small atmosphere, great fan suport, beautiful stadium and backdrop

I knew a girl who went out to montana for school and she had the biggest jugs my high school *** ever did see. That’s it, that’s the story. Cool stadium though! Visiting Montana is high on my bucket list

Nice highlights! Nice to see a guy catch da ball! Joke aside, he made some nice moves after the catch and did u see that TD he threw... oh man! Good stuff!

How will the King injury impact his decision? Do you take a chance on enrolling at Miami and what appears to be a very aggressive timeline for King's return? If King isn't ready, do you really want to spend your last year of eligibility playing for an unproven QB like TVD or Garcia?

Do you take safer options that will become available and play for another program without massive question marks at the QB position?

King's injury not only impacts the QB position but hinders our ability to recruit portal WRs and retain Jordan and Harley. Sux.

He's been discussed in the Portal threads but, given what we saw on Tuesday, I figured he needed his own thread.

Our entire offensive staff is following him. FCS All-American. 6'3, 193, and had 1,495 yards and 13 TDs in his last season. He's also a semifinalist for the Academic Heisman.

Easy to see what he brings to the table from a ball-winning perspective. Should be an easy sell given our history with guys like KJ Osborn and the obvious need for a WR1:

yes please. thanks

he'd be the most productive WR on the roster from day 1.

There wasn't a single contested catch on that highlight tape that made me think: "oh yeah, wiggins and pope would make that play too"

He’s been liking a lot of Cane-related tweets. I definitely think we’re involved.

Too many bread basket catches. Need guys that can hand catch in traffic and high point deep balls.
You're actually not wrong. I think this guy is still better, he's not a high level P5 guy.
I think he's comparable to Harley type of players, from a statistical/production level, just more wiggle and length.
He won't be a WR1 that teams are going to have to scheme around.

I actuals have more confidence in Redding and Smith to eventually emerge (assuming given their fair shake at a starting spot), simply based on how they attack the ball.

Now the next question is: does he wait until our spots open up? Or do we take him now if he’s interested and hope we get more spots?
