Problem with this is that Sabans first year was still better than the previous year. He actually improved from the previous coach's last season. Manny can't say that.

No, the problem is that - as the OP stated himself - Saban had prior college and NFL HC experience and had also won a national championship. How the two situations are even being compared is beyond me.
