Whether you like it or not coaches, especially first year coaches, need time. This is not rocket science. Coker was undefeated in his first year but we all know how that ended so I would not judge Manny just of of his 1st year.So a coach that Diaz has NOTHING in common with is your evidence we should give diaz more time? yeah that's not gonna get it done for me.
Saban lost 9 scholarships in his first 2 years at MSU because of sanctions. School was on probation for a while and in his final year he got to 10 wins for the first time since 1965 in that school’s history. He won at least 6 games every year. So he wasn’t lights out but not mediocre and Michigan State was the equivalent to what Iowa State is today.I’m not talking manny , I’m talking how majority of the board poo poo’s coaches. And only crowns them after they see the actual finished product. Who knows , some people might look dumb with the manny hate one day , including yourself. Or he could be canned next year , you really never know.
As for Saban, he was mediocre or just pretty good for majority of his career before winning the natty at LSU. That’s a fact.
I’m 4- and watched football since i was eight years old so I dont need a history lesson on Saban. George Perles did just as good at MSU than Saban .
Saban just got to two schools who have huge booster foundations which made him look like god. He’s a really good coach , but he wasn’t so hot when he had less talent or equal talent.
