Let me also be clear. I think Morris has a lot of heart, and a lot of talent. The guy can make some phenomenal throws. But there is just something wrong upstairs. Maybe its all because of the ankle, or maybe he's just rattled. But he is having SERIOUS issues, and the "easy" games are behind us. If he cant pull it together, AG owes it to the TEAM, to play the QB that gives us the best chance of winning.
I think that at times, the game gets a bit too fast for Morris, thus the mental farts. Oh, he's got an arm. He's experienced. He's a senior. He understands some of the initial reads, but against a fast-moving, smart defense - and NC has some really smart players - it overwhelms Morris.
I've been watching him for too long now, and when I see games like this, they all have the same thing in common. Things are really moving fast, and Morris can't seem to keep pace, thus the dumbass throws, running OUT of a solid pocket right into the outside speed rusher, and consistently throwing off his heels, simply because he can't make rapid progressions.
Good guy. Great arm. But unless Coley can figure a way to slow the game down for Morris, we're in trouble at FSU and Clemson, not counting ****** Tech.
