As an O, you take what they give you. If they are going to stack the box to stop the run, you simply make them pay down the field through the air. We did that, over and over again. The **** last thing I want to see is us mindlessly running into 8 man fronts just to prove we can eventually do it. For YEARS we have been begging for an OC that attacks every part of the field, now we have fans wanting to "establish" the run game. Our run game will be there when teams sell out to stop the pass.

It is literally pick your poison with Miami. You sell out to stop the run, and Cam tears you apart. Play back, and our RBs don't get a hand on them until they are 7 yards down the field. **** of a problem to have as a Miami fan.

if we were getting stuffed on 3rd and short and on the goalies i would be concerned.

Our 3rd down conversion rate is among the best in the country, and we run the ball in with ease on the goal line almost every time.

Keep throwing, force them to sell out on the pass then run the ball. Take what they give you, it was good coaches do.

No point in trying to establish the run game with 8 guys in the box only to leave ourselves into 3rd & 7 every drive

If the game ended at halftime and the game was 22-15, I'd agree with you. However, there hasn't been a need nor reason to consistently go to the run game in the first half. Would you rather us continue to run dive over and over against G5 and FCS teams to impose our will? Aren't you against Mario-ball?

Do we also take away the Brown long TD?

I love what Cam is doing with the passing game, all I’m saying that’s the running has to improve if UT, Bama, UGA and Ohio Taint are our future playoffs opponents

While I can appreciate everyone wanting us to be more balanced...remember the key rule on O...takes what the defense gives you. The teams we have played so far can not compete with our pass game right now. So be it. We will have fresh backs to push for a deep playoff run while many teams will be beat up. There is a ton of upside for the offense down the road. I'm fine where we are.

****, I've been preaching this type of of offensive mentality for the better part of 12 years. Make them boys run 30-50 yards downfield every play for a whole half, and see who wants to tackle a 220 lb running back the entire second half.

The only observation Ive made that I keep an eye on is the O line push on rushing plays. we get the 2 yard push easily, but its straight forward...they're not "paving" holes much, just pushing the D-line's **** in. So the backs either have to bounce out side or run into the backs of the blockers after 3 yards.

no it doesn't, the offense is #1 in the country in yards per play right now through 4 weeks

we are 8th.. EIGHTH in the country in yards per rush against FBS teams

we have the best QB in college football and run an air raid offense

you seem to care more about damien Martinez individual yard totals than the effectiveness of an offense and tbh it's coming off like you don't understand ball

Very well said.

This is the part everybody keeps being ignorant to. I would love for Martinez to have 300+ yards rushing with 90+ going into every half BUT that's not what the defenses have been giving us. They keep loading boxes and blitzing thinking they're going to throw Killa Cam off his groove. Cam being Killa Cam just kills them with his composure and throws people open. A big part of our "run game" has been the screens and short throws when under pressure from where the linebackers were.

EXACTLY! And let me piggy back off this...after 4 games, running the ball is actually game management for the OPPOSING TEAM! We would be doing them a favor by controlling the clock and keeping the score low. Thats why I'm proud of coach thus far in the season for letting Dawson get a big lead and forcing the other team to beat us passing, knowing that's what they have to do. Then we sic the dogs on em.

Notice the defense was suspect while the game was close in the first half. Dem boys came out tired from their own game plan in the 2nd half and it was a cornucopia of beatings. I really like the way this team is playing and can't wait to see it against better rosters.

Shout out to Golesh tho...amazing first half gameplan. He knew he had to think outside the box to keep up.

I don't even think Cam is taking what the defense is giving him.

I think Cam is ruthlessly taking whatever the f he wants.

I've officially moved into the "I'm concerned about our run game" camp - but at the same time I haven't had this much fun watching our offense in a long, long time.

Cam is soooooo f'ing good.
