Ruiz stadium update

False. The majority of the seats did not move closer. They are nicer with more leg room, but they are not closer to the field, which remains too far away for a football game. The reason for this has to do with fútbol (or at least Joe Robbie’s vision for fútbol).
I didn't say the MAJORITY of the seats ... I said "seats" .... there is a section of seats that IS closer to the field than before. But ****, I have Club Seats, the view is great, love the place. Hope that if a new stadium is built that the parking and amenities are as good.

You've been on a roll lately, kid. You think any Golden Canes or donors of any significance aren't going to be able to park right up close to the stadium? Well, ok, then. There will be 16,000 spots ON SITE. Plus walkable off-site, shuttle off-site, and tons of community private yard parking just like nearly every spot at the OB that we miss so much was like.

You all get shook real easy.
Allegedly on site. If it's an underground parking structure, that brings in other issues. Most people hated the parking situation at the OB, so private yard parking is a nonstarter. Walkable off site most likely isn't a starter for many either, especially when people are used to easy on site parking at Hard Rock.

Your body is 61% water, 30% mope, 5% troll, and 4% extra crispy mope.

Tell us again how Mario isn’t going to be able to recruit at Miami.

You said “all seating and seats”…direct quote.

I do agree with you that the parking (pre-F1 and tennis facilites) and amenities are very good.

I have clubs seats as well…love ‘em.

In fairness, they’re consistent. Hate the idea of possibly going back to Nike & hates the idea of having our own stadium closer to campus. Lol.

I’ve been cracking up at this thread:

Thus far the detractors have been
-Traffic
-2017 ND game
-HRS is a world class stadium
-We don’t pay anything, which was revised after evidence showed otherwise, we don’t pay that much
-We play in a NFL stadium
-No way Tropical Park will be a site for a stadium, & now that’s becoming a real possibility, not enough parking spaces / underground parking sucks.

Man oh diggity man, what a time to be alive. The irony is some of these same complainers tried to convince us that Diaz needed more time, & Lane over Mario (FIU bros). Irony or pattern?

I know everyone knows this already but I think some might need a refresher:

We play in a stadium with aqua blue seats. Our colors are orange and green.

the design in the endzones for our home games aren’t ours. They’re the Miami Dolphins design/preference

IMO just those two little things are worth the idea of a new stadium. The little things matter and those two characteristics are an embarrassment to see week in and week out.

Before anyone jumps on me for that. I think Hard Rock is excellent. World class. But those two points mentioned above are an embarrassment for our program/fanbase.

It's a litmus test for who really cares about the program and who doesn't.

Anyone cover competing with HRS, Hard Rock Live, Heat Arena, Panthers Arena for Concerts yet?? Just figured I'd add that to the mope pile... 🤣 🤣

I didn’t have time to back through the thread so sorry if already mentioned: But with underground parking, where will tail gating take place?

we don’t get all the revenue. In case anybody hasn’t paid attention in college football, making money as a program is a “little” important lol

You forgot 99% know it all.

I wonder if they would try to expand the rail from Dadeland up to Tropical Park or do a street car (like in the original plans to link Brickell to Marlins Park) either from there or from campus.

Oh man a street car would be sick but it might cost more than the stadium.

I know the above ground ones are super expensive. Atlanta did a streetcar rail about 5-10 years ago, around 3 miles and it cost around $100mm IIRC. God knows what it would cost now but I’m sure they could get some federal money for it (assuming Miller could sustain it).

If you think the above ground ones are expensive, price out the below ground ones!!! :)

How many miles would we need for what you proposed?

A streetcar down Miller Drive is a great idea. It's a 2-lane road from campus to Ludlam but opens way up after that. If they can widen Miller between San Amaro and Ludlam it's on.
