This isn't even close to being "on campus". You are almost three miles away from campus, and unlike your typical college town, where you have college friendly businesses and residences for miles around, this isn't that.
Edge waterVery relevant global climate change issue. Maybe they will hire the city planners from Miami Beach.
I own a business right off the 826 and traffic around there isn't bad at all.Too late.
This is the most polar thread I have ever read on this site. Insanely good information on a legendary issue sprinkled with some of the worst takes this living fan has ever seen.
Keep up the good work, everyone.
I’ve been following this discussion and have politely declined to participate, except for this part.
The idea of students walking tropical park is absurd, it’s not going to happen no matter how you measure out the distance, even if it’s “only“ 2.5 miles, which actually is closer to four miles, and it’s walking on shltty narrow sidewalks (where there are even sidewalks).
Let’s keep it real, that’s not going to happen.

Why does every one assume that underneath parking means underground parking? The stadium might be elevated and the additional parking could be underneath the stadium. That might be more practical than a underground parking structure given the landscape.Very relevant global climate change issue. Maybe they will hire the city planners from Miami Beach.

Just a thought.
Parking lol You guys sound like you’re 400 years old. Idc if theres 0 parking spots. Get us own our stadium.
The stadium proposed by Ruiz IS NOT 48,000. And forget the ACC look at the stadiums in the ACC, PAC 12, BIG 12. New UM stadium is supposed to be in excess of 60,000Let's say we move to the SEC.
Here is the capacity of each stadium.
UFag: 88,548
UGA: 92,746
LSU: 102,321
Alabama: 101,821
Tennessee: 102,455
Texas A&M: 102,733
S. Carolina: 80,250
Auburn: 87,451
Kentucky 61,000
Arkansas: 72,000
Ole Miss: 64,000
Vanderbilt: 40,000
UM 48,000(new stadium) So we would be going from one of the Primere Stadiums in the country to a UCF size stadium.
You’re right man. My mistake.Yeah except it doesn’t work that way. Do you go to games? Look around. At least 50% of the people I would say are over 40 or even 50. They are usually the ones that contribute the most to the program, buy the season tickets and so forth.
So if you don’t think comfort or convenience are an issue, then you’re not looking at it clearly.
BS ... Rechts' 2017 season the average was 57,000 (tickets sold yes) but butts in the seat was close. The only time you have CONFERENCE GAMES with low attendance is when UM sucks. UM with 10 win or better regular seasons TODAY = 60,000 or more. This is not 1990 either and simply the population of Miami Dade having grown by 800,000 certainly helps.I don't really think we have to worry about parking when we'll still have 30,000 showing up to most games. Yes, with a new coach. Yes, with a new stadium. But once the novelty wears off, it will be same old, even if we're winning. The admin won't care because season tickets are sold out and Golden Canes are happy But our rivals will point out that we got a brand new stadium still not on campus and still can't fill it.
This has a retractable roof, too. So you can host a major event and not worry about rain or sun.
I bought the wife Lady Gaga tickets right on the floor in front of the stage. It’s at HRS, and it could very well rain on us. This is a nice advantage OB 2 could have.
It all depends on club level seating and designs. We will know more in August.
Ruiz family isn’t too impressed with certain variables at HRS. It is an old stadium with a face lift. I think they want to build something more advanced in many ways.
Zip lines in the interim? From the top of the Biltmore should provide a large enough incline until permanent platforms/lightning rods can be constructed.Cargo ship parking. Uber helicopters to and from stadium.
No reason that UM would have to have a SEC capacity stadium. A stadium with somewhere around 60,000 would be perfect for UM.Let's say we move to the SEC.

Outside stadium, there will be a bar for pre and post game. Similar to Cowboys stadium which has a dope place. Such a great idea.
