That was the glory era.

2k forced them to improve the game every year and both games were awesome.

Madden was prettier but 2k had better controls. It really was the better game until hit stick settled the score.

Nah 2k5 and 2k8 still by a long shot is better. Controlling players doesn't feel like Mack trucks that weigh 5000 pounds. Playing defense in 2k was better forcing cut backs and angles it was fun to be a linebacker or safety. The line play on both side of the ball felt real and didn't feel scripted like Madden. Still till this day 2k had a better gameplay feel that is why they bought the license they saw the end. Then EA tried to buy the basketball license in fear of 2k and bang the NBA said no and NBA live was killed. Take two still never stole the NBA license allowing for competition and allowing other NBA games to be made cause they weren't scared. Their bread n butter were football not basketball. Man I miss 2k

The only college football game I play now is college football revamped. It's great

I didn’t play 2k5.

I always said the perfect game would be Madden art work with 2k controls and physics. 2k just made the players too bulky and blocky.

Madden improved the game yearly then started selling $60 roster updates once they got the exclusive license. I boycotted that **** long ago.

Madden had the graphics and face mask down packed. That was the one thing I didn't like about 2k. If u ever get a chance go on YT search up allprofootball 2k8 gameplay. Amazing bro I promise u

I saw a video about it a few months ago. It was a really polished game that was way ahead of its time.

I just started playing cfb revamped on PC. Has the updates roster of every team updated ESPN broadcast watermarks. Has the cfb playoff either four teams or eight. Repeated back to back titles beat UF Natty and got the number one recruiting class. Then beat bama....then UF won the Natty now season 4 I need revenge. Bama snagged Richard Young I got Shemar Kelly and Hykeem Williams. They did a good job modding the game
 
The NFL should be forcing Madden to create mini game modes that kids can play at recess and PE. The predetermined animations take the fun out of the game for me personally. Unfortunately, all of EAs Madden team focuses their energy on the card game slot machine money grab Ultimate Team. The head guy just left a few weeks ago. There is hope for improvement, but don't count on it.
