There's a story Bill Bergey has told concerning John Madden. He kept getting by Jim Otto (00 Hurricane) of the Raiders, and John Madden said, "Come on, get him!", and Bergey yelled at John, "He's not fast enough."

Next series of downs, Jim Otto absolutely nailed Bergey, knocked his *** to the ground. Apparently, John told Bergey, "Is he fast enough now?!"

Bergey said, " <groans> Uh huh."

As for the best memory, it's gotta be the Holy Roller where the announcer gives it to John Madden.

"He doesn't know if it's real! The refs said, 'Yes, get your big butt outta here.' He DOES." xD
