Ricardo Williams & Dwayne Hoilett

Lol at wanting to kick a dude off the roster after two years (one in which he redshirted)

Lol @ your illogical post. No one said kick him off the team, and yet here you are lolling at an imaginary porster.

Plenty of kids leave to get on the field elsewhere.

"Would be surprised if Williams remains on the roster much longer. As desperate as we are for DE's dude hasn't cracked the line-up, probably time to move on."

So "probably time to move on"=him leaving on his own?

So again, lol at moving on from the guy after two years.

Yes, time to move on can mean the kid transers. Not sure why that is hard to understand.

no need to kick anyone off. We are at 85 right now assuming all our recruits qualify and no one else leaves unexpectedly. Rico will have another year to find a way to contribute, and if he can't, I suspect you'll see him move on after the 2013 season. If he does contribute, all the better

No way I'm saying kick him off. It will be interesting to see what kinds of looks we give and how Rico plays into that.

That was my post and exactly what I meant, kids transfer all the time. If he couldn't play a down last year even as a redshirt freshman I don't see him getting any meaningful snaps here.

the thing about rico williams is ...at th eend of the year the light maybe was starting to turn on....dude was in the game on that last series at UVA when they scored on us...i had to do a double look..
If he doesnt progress this spring...with the speedy edge guys we brought in...hes in trouble...as Hoilett has been getting good reviews...and AlQuadea is likely ready to go in pass rush situations from day 1

I am not a fan of kicking a kid off the team before he has had 3 seasons under his belt unless he is total cancer. If a kid is working hard and contributing let him stay.

Agree with this. If the kid is doing his part in the classroom, is a good teammate and does ok in practic, hard to justify letting go before he graduates. That said, if Rico can't crack the 3 deep this year, or after spring, he'll be given "the speech" about possibly finding a new home.

just curious as to what everyone that is down on his future worth for team is basing it on?
Your live practice observations?
Game tape?
unsubstantiated guesses?

UM hired a nutritionist and support staff for them last year. **** UM could have used grad students from the medical school nutrition program.

Go canes

Completely false my dude. UM is working on getting nutritionist specifically for football now. Last year and the year before is when AG implemented breakfast as a mandatory meal.

So I was glancing at the UM roster and noticed Ricardo Williams is up to a listed 251lbs (from 210 lbs out of high school) and Dwayne Hoilett is at 247 lbs (fr/ 215 lbs a year ago).

I know the knock on these guys was their weight - so after adding 30-40 lbs, will these two kids make an impact for our defensive front in 2013?

The roster weights and heights have not been updated since August 11 2012. The spring game is the next time the roster gets updated.

Do we know this for sure? That would mean Hoilett gained 30 lbs over a very short period of time (from the middle/end of his HS season until August 11th.)

I have Hoilett first on the roster on March 2 2012. He was listed at 6'3 240. He was an early enrollee. Anyway you have to take the roster figures with a grain of salt. There were reports of him coming in around 215-217. I look forward to see what he brings this year. I believe he was another one of the guys that earned their scholly at one of the summer camps.

Negged for arrogance and stupidity.
why the guilty conscious? I didn't list "pulled it out your ***" as an option.

You are free not to post here if you don't like the exchange of views. But if you're going to take snide, condescending shots at people who express their views, then don't be surprised to find your posts disfavored.

I asked a fair question. Don't fault me for your insecurities.
Again I'll ask- what is the prevailing thought that Rico being a career bum based on?
If you can't support your position on why you think that other than to say "because that's what I think" then feel free not to reply. If you can let's hear it.
