I have a camera with a great zoom lens!! Let me know where to be!
if they give us anything more than scholarship bans I am going to make a list of every person on the COI, take my time and follow them one at a time. I mean it is only matter of time one of them slips and cheats on a spouse, does drugs, or something...

I'll gather evidence and blackmail the **** out of them!

I am selling my company soon so I'll have all day! WHO'S WITH ME!

There won't be another bowl ban. It will all come down to scholarships. If the NCAA wants to drag this out a bit more, they will go heavy on scholarship reductions. I don't think that will happen though, cause the NCAA wants this behind them almost as much as we do at this point. But they will try to squeeze as many schollys as they believe Miami will accept. I'm pretty sure that number has already been discussed between the two so the NCAA will either honor that number, or they may go one or two above it and make the University just cut their losses and move on from this whole thing.

this right here. this is the answer. people talking about another bowl ban are gone IMO

i think the max number of schollys that Miami would accept is 9 over 3 years. JMO but thats what i'm looking for whenever this **** finally hits

the worst part of the sanctions being announced.. we will most likely hear from that jail bird again

No doubt he has his own laptop right next to his flatscreen in his "cell" at that hotel masquerading as a prison. SMH.

I hate the swamp scum, but do you think one of their players doing time could do us a favor and pay him a few night time visits? Maybe we can let them have a WR recruit or two in exchanges.

How is Shapiro not getting corn holed 10 times a day?

The NCAA knows that this whole cloud has served as unintended/intended sanctions by default. Miami wants to put this behind them ASAP so I'd be willing to bet the sanctions will be jusssst under the threshold the NCAA thinks will get them taken to court. They still want/need to exert their power and I bet they are going to ask Miami to swallow a pretty big pill to be able to put this in their rearview. The punishments will be closer to "go ahead, call our bluff" than "hey, we made mistakes, I hope this seems fair to you."

While everyone likes the idea of UM taking the NCAA to court, and Shalala going at Emmert like he's Colonel Jessup, just the threat of sanctions has been bad enough. I really don't want opposing coaches to be able to point to actual quantifiable sanctions that are on the table throughout the YEARS it will take to decide the case.

The other issue is, does anyone at Miami really want to fight the NCAA? Shalala and Co. may feel obliged to rattle their sabers to sate the fanbase, but by and large they are mostly establishment, go along to get along, types. They don't want to hurt their chances of getting jobs at other schools because they've been quasi blacklisted because they went against the NCAA.

Yeah, another bowl ban? thats three! As it is the two was unprecedented, I just dont think there is any way they could try to push for another. And that is just not even fair to these players, at least at Penn State the players knew the sanctions and were able to choose, these players have stuck this out and do not deserve that.
I see it looking something like this, 5yrs probation w/ 2 served, two bowl bans/served, 9 ships over 3 yrs/ allowing us to play 3 short this yr. That would seem fair, it would allow the NCAA to feel like they are handing out the punishment, and we are pretty close to SKATING!
Probably wishful thinking but thats just me.......

I'm hoping no more bowl bans

1 bowl and scholarship reductions, along with probation, fits the charges. 2 bowls, plus the ACCCG would seem to make up for any scholarship reductions. The NCAA could cite the punishment Miami has already taken, along with the cooperation throughout, and just add probation for a few years, and be done with it. People keep forgetting what Miami has already given up so far.

It is so ******* frustrating that we're even still discussing this right now.

This **** has got to come to an end.

My guess is that the administration has a fairly good idea of what the sanction will be. Golden is operating and giving out scholarships like there going out of style. He seems not all too worried about sanctions at the moment, in fact he is operating like a school ready to the college world by storm.
