I am not concerned so much as if it will stick, but that the NCAA BS STILL wouldn't be over with. We would have to inevitably go thru another year or so of wondering exactly what our fate is. More negative recruiting and more drama. It's been long enough. Let's hope there is no additional bowl bans on that sentence.

5 scholarships per year for next 3 years and 1 year post season ban, miami appeals gets post season ban reversed, scholarship reduction stays.

Spot on IYAM.

the problem with that is appeals can take 1 year + and we are back in the exact same boat.
that would be one of the worst case scenarios

I seriously doubt they could get an additional bowl ban to stick once we appealed.

Absolutely appeal anything more than mild additional penalties. Sure with an appeal there is uncertainty on whether we win or if the penalties are upheld but we still would know the worse possible exposure to the program, therefore an appeal would not hurt recruiting imo other than the imposed penalties levied. It was the uncertainty of not knowing these initial penalties that was hurting us, which at that point we would be past.

Also as to the appeal, the NCAA is a wounded institution. No one is happy with that governing body. If they try a power play then we absolutely raise **** and go for the Killshot an independent division 4!

It's ridiculous that the NCAA is holding the program hostage like this.

This wait is normal. It has been what, 8 weeks? They usually take like 8-12. What is ridiculous is the 18 month investigation....errrrr, witch hunt... followed by another 6 months of throat clearing, before our hearing.

I really hope both of you are wrong on that. If we appeal there is no telling how much longer they will drag out the appeals process.

Let's not forget what we all got excited about back in January...we do have the NCAA backed in to a corner. Shalala has a lot of friends in high places, and with the high profile scrutiny the NCAA is under right now, the last thing they want is to have to go before congress and defend their tax exempt status. Not saying one equals the other, and maybe this is just me living in dreamland, but messing with Shalala might not be in their best interest.

There won't be another bowl ban. It will all come down to scholarships. If the NCAA wants to drag this out a bit more, they will go heavy on scholarship reductions. I don't think that will happen though, cause the NCAA wants this behind them almost as much as we do at this point. But they will try to squeeze as many schollys as they believe Miami will accept. I'm pretty sure that number has already been discussed between the two so the NCAA will either honor that number, or they may go one or two above it and make the University just cut their losses and move on from this whole thing.

if they give us anything more than scholarship bans I am going to make a list of every person on the COI, take my time and follow them one at a time. I mean it is only matter of time one of them slips and cheats on a spouse, does drugs, or something...

I'll gather evidence and blackmail the **** out of them!

I am selling my company soon so I'll have all day! WHO'S WITH ME!

Why you hatin' on Reynolds? He has been pretty pro Miami through all this and usually spot on when saying something's coming.

Time served. Anything above more than like 1-2 schollies for 2 years, take them to court, we've endured enough, **** em
