The only thing they have is the sliver of hope that Lagway provides but when they go 3-9 and Billy is fired halfway through the season, he’ll be ready to hit that transfer portal.

I give even money that Lagway is starting by the middle of the year if not sooner. You could argue that they are already a better team with him under center.

More importantly, they are going to lose a lot of games this year either way. As a coach on the hot seat, he is better off losing with a vision for the future than a stopgap game manager.

Mertz better hope that concussion doesn't have him missing any time. Otherwise, he may never see the field again.

Those Gator recruits are really hanging their hats on Lagaway. We'll see how they feel after the coach gets fired, and Lagaway gets injured on one of those designed QB runs they like so much.

One good season and Lagway is in the portal getting a NIL bag. I highly doubt he stays at UF.
