Last year with our #storm18 class we had a great buzz. Sure it was Richt's first real recruiting class, so a bump was expected. But then the season started and we won 10 games with 3 of our top players hurt and played for the ACC championship.

It's disheartening to see the #surge19 class not wanting to come on board and continue the process. It seems all our top elite targets like

Do not want to commit or are most likely getting bought off. Where is our class ambassador? Where is the Lingard of this class? It seems like South Florida kids do not have pride in their team. Last year Brevin Jordan from Nevada and Lingard from Central Florida, had more pride than any of our dudes here in South Florida. Don't tell me that Lingard didn't get bags thrown at him.. he was the #2 rated back and top 10 prospect in the nation. Jordan was the best TE in the nation and a freak, same with Mallory. I mean I don't know what more CMR needs to do. No matter how many events, camps and connections with local schools , if it's all about bags and our top boys go to the highest bidder then we can't compete and can't expect us to beat the Clemson's or Bamas of the world. This is the perception I get and Im afraid with Category 20 when those same programs zero in on our guys, then we will get more decommits like Manuel and Avantae.

Is anyone else feeling this same frustration?

Nope. We have a really nice list of commits so far, and a lot of great prospects that we are in on.

Last year was an exception in terms of timing and i think its key to identify and sign Alpha dogs
team leaders whatever in every class. but everyone recruits Fla. and the players like the attention and the trips especially in S.Fla
regretabbly with Shannon & Golden we left the door open for Bama,UGA,Clemson etc. need to win and win big
to get them back in the fold. Richt and staff are slowly closing the door and keeping talent home.
look at success at STA this year........ need to win opener big statement game for recruits

Patience young Jedi’s. The staff has done a phenomenal job turning around the **** show that they inherited. They are radically improving everything. From the facilities and S&C, to the staffs involvement with the local HS and even the cancerous entitlement mentality within the roster.

All this takes time but the staff has a system and process in place in identifying and developing talent that is going to pay big long term dividends within the next 2-3 years. Big time college coaches and boosters know this and they are shook. This type of change takes time and it can be frustrating at times, but we are way ahead of schedule. In a few years, we will be turning away top flight prospect because they don’t fit in our environment. You already saw it this year with Hunter. We are in the calm before the #Storm!

I honestly like our commitment list, what's more frustrating for me is seeing how recruits that have UM high are constantly getting over looked with the Stars and rankings, IF our commits got the rankings and stars THIS class would be considered one of the bet classes..

I look at a commit like Brooks, there is no way in **** this kid is just a 3 star, he has been lighting it up since he got in high school, BUT of course he gets hurt and commits to Miami and he's only a 3 star!! Crowley another UM commit that has been showing that he is one of the better RBs in this class and he's still a 3 star..

THAT'S what frustrating about this whole process and I guarantee coach's from other schools have noticed it as well and they might be using that, when RECRUITING these recruit's..

Canes just need to win and it will all sort itself out. I hope none of these Divas get hurt there Senior year before they have a chance to commit and get stuck holding there **** in there hand.

Don’t know how long you’ve been following recruiting but it’s always a roller coaster. Seems like more bad news than good. However that’s how it is, all that matters is who we get in Feb. let’s discuss this Feb 3rd, you’re going to have a positive tune when we get another top 10 class.

Definitely a June 26 post. Chill OP enjoy your summer. You write a whole bunch of fluff if you just wanted to vent you should've called your girl. Sounds like you're pretty upset I hope this stress doesn't move past the alarm stage..

Very well said, and I agree!

If you want to be upset, take a look at FSU and UF. They have new coaches and should have bumps but we are sitting in a better position especially when you factor in '17/'18 classes. None of the top 25 kids in the state have popped except for Ladson. Lets see what happens at the end of July. One thing is for sure, these coaches work hard recruiting and developing players.

I feel you Bro. You expecting recruiting to reflect staff work, facilities improvements and on field results. Just ain't happening as fast and locals aren't as dedicated as we expected.

As canes fans we better get used to this new recruiting era or times. Nowadays with social media, espn, 20 or so different recruiting rankings sites, national signing day becoming a TV circus act for espn televise , commitment announcement videos and other crap what can we expect out of 17 and 18 years old kids. South Florida kids get bombarded with exposure and pressure from the outside that makes it almost impossible on for a lot kids to know what they truly want. back in the 80's and early 90's south florida kids knew the U and heard about other schools so the U was the outlet to achieve success nowadays they have a road map of influences to pay attention too and follow. Like one recruit posted "I have to do what's best for my brand"

"It is what it is" and with time it could only get worst certainly is not going to get better

No matter what GO CANES!
