Recruiting could be much worse...

Like who?
This didn’t happen only under your god Manny Diaz. I know you are the four star general of the Manny Diaz Slurper brigade.I have time to type out a list lol. Watch these coastal games and here how many times they say such and such from South Florida in the Miami area. But salute to you four star general!!!!!!

Yes recruiting could be worse.

It could also be 10x better I mean the holes we have at OL, CB, linebacker and lack of bodies at WR is glaring. Only a moron wouldn’t address those concerns.

Program building isn't just for the here and now, either. Next year is going to be a blood bath. You can see it coming. We are coming off of a likely 6-7 season and a 7-6 season. There are STUDS in the SFL next year, especially the skill positions. They are not going to sign up for this dumpster fire. We will be in the high 20's next year. The wheels are going to fall off if they haven't already on the trail

Who ya got opening day next summer at Monmouth Park in the 5th race?

what did we win that makes anyone think we were gonna get a top 5 class ... win and develop, that's the only way out of this

So in other words you can’t think of anyone.

Corner and Oline are the big ones here.
Absolutely but I haven’t seen anything from the current WR’s that merits not going after more prospects. And assuming we miss on flowe, already missed on Greene, and not going to sign Machado, we f^cked up linebacker too

Do you guys not remember how bad things were last year at this time? We have the 15th,14th or 10th ranked class depending on what ranking site you like to use. After the disaster of the season we had I'm just glad we were able to hold the class together. Hopefully we can win our bowl game and find a couple more recruits and hit the portal hard.
This class has some pretty good talent, some good athletes, but ultimately is a failure because our snake oil salesman corch and his clown show couldn't recruit the one main area of need offensive line. They got one kid who is good, they had every opportunity to sell their pitch to these OL recruits on immediate playing time and couldn't do so and the reason is these kids can see what a joke he is. We needed 3 or 4 quality offensive lineman, without an OL we ain't ****.

This is a solid class. Our coaching is what is atrocious. Even with the #1 class this team would underperform, as has been the case for 15+ years. With good coaching and solid recruiting, we would become consistently relevant again, which would inspire the bagmen, which is when the top recruits would start rolling in again. Without some hard-earned wins and clever coaching, it ain't gonna happen. Diaz was close to making it happen, but he hired a dinosaur to run our offense, completely took special teams for granted, and everything went to the toilet.

I'm seeing 15th on Rivals, 18th on ESPN and 17th on 247.

So that's almost exactly where we have been, given averaging over the past 4 or 5 seasons.

Not awful but as I've posted many times the perspective here is brutally wrong. #16 is a heck of a lot closer to #50 than to #1. This is anything but linear. That's why we are eligible to lose to those #50 programs and so it with semi regularity. We are theoretically 10 points above their level while 20 points worse than #1.

I noticed the same handful of programs occupied the Top 5 again. They will continue to separate.

The Gators are in the #8 range where we need to be. That gap between #16 and #8 is a full touchdown per game. They were favored by a touchdown when we played them.
