Reasons why we won't win 10 games in 2013

dam. I actually agree with you in the win/loss record. I have a gut feeling its around 8-4. I still dnt have confidence in our D. I bet there are ppl that think our D will be in the top 25, but I dnt. Our D sucked last year. They gave up how many yards to Duke and the Cavs. And the ND O looked amazing against us. Golson looked like a Hiesman. #1 pick. lol.

I think it's real ****y to think the defense won't improve from last year to this year with more experience, more conditioning and size, and better defensive line talent. The one question mark is linebacker, but this isn't the NFL where we can sign FAs or swing trades to fill holes. You play with what you got and hope for the best.

Enough with the f@ggotry before the first game is even played.

So your prediction is based off of all of the possible worst case scenarios happening this season?

Sounds legit........

OFFENSE

1)no decent depth at RB besides Duke we got no one
2)horrible red zone conversation rate especially inside the 10 yard line....Morris lacks touch and we don't have a back back to get the tough yards in goal line situations
3)new OC

DEFENSE
1)13 SACKS last year we need three times that many sacks to get to double digit wins ...I think we will improve to at least 20 something range though
2) really mediocre linebackers
3)secondary is a year away from being real good

9-3 last year of bowl ban

If you count a bowl win, we would have 10 then. I don't see why a lot of people who predict records leave out the bowl game often. I think if the team doesn't win at least 10, some coaching changes need to happen.

So Morris won't be improved? That is just absurd! OT, Haggens and Crawford will be fine behind Duke. The first year Fisch was here the offense improved, so what makes you think Coley can't improve an offense with a ton of weapons?

Defense will improve just off of experience, strength and more familar with the playbook. Dude you are so Shannonized!

Everyone is just assuming that every player is gonna improve just by being in the program for another year...i really like Morris but he just not a good redzone QB between the 20 he is all conference inside the 10 he a JAG.....i haven't even since glimpses of touch by him.... he so far behind in that area even if he improved he still be below average

Dallas Crawford would not make 3rd String for hardly any teams in the top 25 sorry to break it to you

I think Duke is a big time red zone threat out of the backfield, one of the few gripes I has with Fisch last year he would always throw inside the 10

Reasons why we won't win 10 games in 2013

1.) Because we're gonna win more than 10.

I don't see why people are so confident in predicting higher win seasons. What has the team done over the last 5 years to warrant this? I'd be happy as a start in just beating every unranked team on the schedule and not struggle in these wins like we do 80% of the time. Shootouts with teams like GT and NC. State aren't fun at all.

over the last 7 years a lot of people have been tring to say its 1999 again interms of where the program is from a recovery point; well it may finally be time. 9-3 or 8-4 WITH a coastal ship and chic fil a bowl win vs sec team would be a success IMO

I don't necessarily disagree with the 9 wins prediction but your reasoning is ****. Also, don't think DC is nearly as bad as you make him out to be.. Kid is a football player. He will contribute wherever they play him. (still wished he was at S & we had more depth at RB)

In 1999 miami had a young qb by the name of Dorsey and a hc named butch Davis. Next year Miami will have a new qb, the same hc who hasn't posted one notable win yet and a dc who is prolly one of the worse in cfb. Big difference.

If Miami wins 10 games this year it will be because of a pathetically weak schedule. Now golden can make me eat crow by posting a win this year against a double digit winning team or a team that finishes the season ranked. The schedule may actually prove to be a lil better than forcasted so that golden still can prove himself on the field which he hasn't done yet.

Most, if not all coaches show flashes on the field by having notable performances on the field. Golden hasn't done that yet. This could be the year he finally does it.

Everyday I come to this site I am reminded of why fans is short for fanatics, which is an exciting way of saying crazy and irrational.

Facts are we went 7-5 with a bunch of kids who were in high school weeks prior. We were predicted to go 4-8 and were even a couple of stops away from two more wins UNC and UVA. Duke was an undersized freshman and kucked ***, Morris was a 1ST time starter and Dorsett had the dropsies at times.

The caveat to this whole thing is the defense. And one thing for sure is they can't get any worse. I am just excited to see how much better they get. So lets enjoy this season cause its gonba be a good one.

They actually had a veteran names Kenny Kelly and Dorsey (we have Olsen and hopefully he doesnt have to play this year like Dorsey did) and Butch was being thanked for making us natonal chumpsi

Can't hold it against a troll for not knowing that.

The difference is butch had beaten ucla and also won the in big east. Again butch showed something on the field. Golden has not.

Dorsey wasn't a vet he was a frosh and Kelly was what? A soph ? And Olson is not in the top deep like Dorsey was.

Butch was being thanked by the same kinda people who are trying to pump up golden.

So if the rate of "conversations" with the red zone don't go up, we won't be successful? Got ya.

I think one of Fisch's problems was he got too cute in the redzone. I am hoping Coley is more of a traditional pound the ball OC when it comes to this aspect of the game.

This year they should at least beat teams they're supposed to beat. Last year they were one injury or suspension away from losing those games.
