Realistically we are a 4-5 loss team

These Canes are legit the leadership and style of play. After last year’s humbling I don’t see the players looking past any opponent. Only game I see as a toss up is FSU because we don’t match up well cbs vs wrs size wise. James Williams will have to step up big time against FSU.

Firesite, I get the trepidation about GT. Why? What is it that concerns you about GT? I am sure you know their defense is trash. Complete trash. We can start George in that game and win. we could post 400 yards on the ground on the these guys if we want too. Worst run defense in football.

BUT I agree that we should have three "gimmes" in BC, GT and UVA. So that puts us at 7 wins WORST CASE SCENARIO. Louisville on Sr day and NC state will make us earn it. This Miami Team is going to come at UNC like both CO. State and Oregon did against Prime. Cohn knows how to win week to week and has helped instill that culture. TVD and Kam are focused to the gills. Don't know how it will go but this team will be fired up for that game.

This team has yet to come off a bye week and play well. I would like to see that even if it is GT. Im not saying we won't win but I think it won't be a blow out like some expect it to be.

yup, true and a fair comment. However, this team is different from both a personal persepective and attitude perspective. We will not have the same let down after a bye week. We only have 4 starters on offense who have been here more 2 years (TVD, X, Rivers and George) and all of them are focused only GT and only GT. Defense is the same way and you know for sure know about Kam's attitude and leadership ability.

I have full confidence in this team vs GT.

What hurts Georgia Tech is our first strings might have to actually have to finish this game. One thing GT does have going is Miami will overlook them for the UNC game which could make this a dangerous game. I still got Miami 56-22 over Ga Tech

I agree that a 12-0 regular season is more likely than 4-5 losses at this point but if we win by those margins, it would be one of the most dominate seasons in CFB which isn’t happening

Then we struggle with the likes of Virginia, GT, and NC St. So just those 7 games we are lucky to win 4.

The rest of you can do what you have done for 20 years and claim this year is the year then come on here crying when reality sets in.

Miami has greatly improved its talent but it didn’t bring in the elite WR we needed to compete at the highest level. Now will one emerge, who knows?

I thought ta&m was going tell us everything we needed to know about this team. My preseason prediction was 10-2, now it’s 11-1 since we actually won one of those. The rest of the season won’t be a cake walk, but all of those games are winnable.

I said the same thing and I actually stand by it.

We’re going to dominate offensively, and our biggest issue is gonna be shooting our selves in the foot with bone headed decisions and execution, especially on special teams. Luckily, that won’t be enough to stop us in a majority of situations.

10 win floor.
