Lol last year Oklahoma had a much better season than us on the field but they were also 11-2 the year before and they lost 7 games for the first time in 25 years.

We were even worse than them though unfortunately and we’re competing for the same kids in a lot of cases—of course he’s highlighting this ****

Yeah, but there’s levels to dog ****. As I’ve shared w/ many privately, 5-7 doesn’t bother me as some, it’s how the 5-7 happened. 5 of OU’s 7 losses were 7 points or less, and they had a high powered offense, ranking in the top 15 in Total O. 5 of our 7 losses were 14 points or more, w/ 4 of such losses being 21 points or more while having an Offense than made the 1897 Yale Bulldogs blush.

So I think we need to stop trying to compare what happened to us last yr vs. UF, OU, or any other team. Mario was the only coach who came over w/ P5 HC experience and had thee absolute worst season of em all, & it’s not remotely close. We got our *** completely beat last yr while OU lost many games by slim margins. We need to focus on us & keep others out of our mouths until we clean up our own chit.

I don't disagree with that. They are worried, but Fire Marshall Bill is still winning head to head battles. That's what it comes down to in recruiting, winning those battles head to head.

He's not winning these battles because of records. Kids are not picking them over us because they went 6-7 and we went 5-7. So that's why im saying his shots at us is utterly pointless. At least from the point of trying to differentiate two teams who had horrible seasons.

Couldn’t agree more, but so does Venables. It was the worst season in 20 years for OU. All of what you said is 100% facts, but at the end of the day, you don’t lose 7 games in Norman. Whether it’s by 1 or 100. When you lose by a billion to Texas, you keep others out of your mouth until you clean up your own ****.

These are some valid points BUT at the end of the day, 6-7 is 6-7.... Losing 7 close games will put you on the same hot seat as any other outcome that results in losing 7 games.

Maaaaan I never even had hate towards OU like that but fvck all that. I'm glad this came out because now I'm rooting against them in every single game they play. We'll definitely need a oklahoema tears thread for the season.

He's playing a Big 12 schedule this year. He can talk smack because he knows all he has to do is win a few more games and along with the big checks, he'll get recruits. After the switch to SEC, he's got to rely on what he has overpaid for because they could very easily turn into another doormat team.

Well i'm not really the type to care about which type of doodoo smells worse. They both stink..... I mean, It's acceptable when you're going at it with rivals or at least a team you actually play but naw, I don't care. Dude lost 49-0. He has no place to talk. He also inherited a better team than Mario did. Had more time to recruit than Mario did. Going from 11-2 to 6-7 will ALWAYS be worse to me.
