I've been trying to explain this to people. Oklahoma has been FILTHY DIRTY recruiting us this year. Horrendously so.

Ask around, I've said the same things in DMs to multiple people.

There is a REASON he is targeting those Miami games, and that's because the whole narrative about Miami (by Oklahoma) is so negative. About how Miami is never going to the SEC and would be lucky to replace Oklahoma in the Big 12.

Wake up, people. This isn't simply "John Ruiz isn't paying anymore". There is a LOT of **** happening right now.

Correct. Mario was hired by Taggart as an assistant in early 2017. When Taggart took the FSU job after the 2017 season, they hired Mario to be the HC at Oregon. So he was recruiting all of 2017, but the 2018 class really wasn’t entirely his. It finished 13th.

His first full class was 2019, they finished 7th (sound familiar?). But 2020 was not in the Top 10, it actually finished 12th. The next year, 2021, was his best class where they finished 6th. And then we know he left in the winter of 2021 to come here.

It was a ****head move by Venebles but let's not act like he hasn't stuffed Mario in a locker recruiting this year

Mario was about to sign the best class in school history in the 2022 class util
He left to come to Miami.
 
Not including the Cristobal era, out of 30 Top 100 players signed only 1 (Artie Burns) has lived up to their ranking. Top 100 players are nice, but only if you get the right ones.

You want to have a 6-7 coach tell people that Miami went 5-7, I'm fine with that.

You want to have a 6-7 coach tell people that Miami can't pay NIL (lies) and Miami won't be in a top conference after the ACC (lies) and Miami is stuck with adidas forever (lies), that's kinda the definition of dirty recruiting.

but "real swag"????? Man it's disgusting how impressed you guys get. REAL SWAG would be a Coach calling us out on our bullsh!t who also didn't get blown out. Who also didn't lose 7 games.... I am not about to hype up a coach that literally won just 1 more game than us. Boy y'all some nuthuggers.

I don't disagree with that. They are worried, but Fire Marshall Bill is still winning head to head battles. That's what it comes down to in recruiting, winning those battles head to head.

Exactly. This ****head lost 49-0 to his biggest rival. 49 to zip.

The game was 42-0 at the end of the third quarter. You know how many passes Texas threw in the 4th quarter? ZERO. Not one. They got the ball 3 times and ran the ball on every single snap. Game could've been 60-0 if they wanted it to be. And this Fire Marshall Bill looking geek has the balls to throw shade on ANYONE? That ain't swag. That's ******* 2023 and this society in a nutshell. Get your ******* brains beat in and talk about other people. That's lame as ****, whether it's true or not. If the roles were reversed, and we lost some close games but got beat 49-0 to FSU and Mario was talking **** about Oklahoma's losses, y'all would kill him. And rightfully so. Shut your ******* mouth and try to score a point against your biggest rival you bozo. Swag...**** outta here.

2016 is a good comparison. Even though it was a good year though we missed on a potential 10-win season. We blew it against FSU and ND. At least we got them back the next year.
