Ready for the scrimmage

Was there at the scrimmage, and i have to say the o-line didnt look that good to me, a lot of that had to do with injuries, way too many false starts, the core guys did well, some of the back ups have some work to do

The WRs and TEs dropped a lot of balls and morris missed some open guys, but the super star of the scrimmage was alex figueroa, the kid was all over the field, after watching him today im going to take back anything i said about him being average, the kid is a beast, great pick up

If you watched his highlights how could you call him average? He flashed athleticism and playmaking ability all over the place.

no bueno for Dye

. @CANEINSIDER has learned that Dyron Dye most likely has an Achilles injury . Most likely to have an MRI tonight. Al said he is "worried."

Achilles always means toast.

dammit mane...

Hate seeing this happen to players but especially ones who do whatever they're asked for the team. Had he been allowed to stay at DE he may have developed into a good player.

Maybe he'll be granted a med-hardship. But I'm gonna keep my fingers crossed that it's not a torn achilles.

btw was at the scrimmage and Lewis was not playing, guy tweeting is confusing him for "Allen Burns" which must be related to Artie Burns!

Lulz

He was a good player for us at TE last year. But I agree, sucks for Dye as he has done everything he's been asked the last few years.

The posters here always bring the lulz.

1st scrimmage. There's no way we can win. If the WR's drop the ball, they suck and so does Carrol. If they catch the ball, oh noes, our defense sucks again!

Fold the program!

Danny Isadora was impressive on the o-line today. He worked with the 1s a lot. Golden said he’s down to 308.
12:51pm - 23 Mar 13

We've got some good OL coming in and on our radar but we need guys like Gadbois and Isadora to pan out since we went light on OL there for a bit.

Isadora yea, Gadbois atleast what I saw when he wasnt false starting was getting beat to edge. Good thing he has time but needs some work.

Gadbois is a project but has already improved a lot physically. Fortunately Henderson came back so the depth is better at tackle but we will need capable bodies out there soon just so we don't have to put our best guards at tackle anymore. Landing two of the best tackles in the country this year would make me feel better as well.

George McTraitor must have sucked in the ND game when Dropsett dropped those TD passes. LULZ at the simpletons blaming Carroll for a few drops in the first scrimmage of the spring.

Mike leach & Mark Duper (among others) both use tennis balls to train their WRs to catch and the results are phenomenal. Leach had tennis ball machines out at practice everyday rocket firing to the WR units.

I'd like to see us employ this at practice.

Mark Duper drives golf balls off his son's face to teach him how look the ball in.

Hate to break it to you, but Dye is 22 years old and Suggs is 30 years old. If dye has partially torn achilles he would probably be back by October - 6 months recovery for a young player who has top flight medical and rehab program. You are right he would come back a little faster than Suggs. The worst thing is an ACL, and achilles is second. But with surgeries nowadays, peterson, RG111 are coming back in less than a year. Dye has plenty of time before the season starts. I hope its not a ruptured achilles, because then he is done, I am hoping for a strained or sprained ankle or other foot ailment, except the rare foot injury that alos sidelines you for 5 to 6 months

sounds like the D is improving...maybe Morris is not used the speed and new look of the D and rushed a few passes...as for drops they are like missed free throws, they will hurt you unless they are addressed asap....cooley dropped a lot of passes last year in HS...Thanks to all for the updates and pics...
