he wasnt. but @TheOriginalCane makes the rules so #35 goes to ray ray for good then.. give luke #5

I don't make the rules. But the rules have been in place for over 100 years.

When you tell me about the golden era of football when teams were allowed to have two players on the field at the same time with the same number, then that's when I'll acknowledge that Ray Ray can have jersey #5 whenever he wants it.

Sorry you don't like or know the rules. Sorry you want to indulge all these childish egos by giving every kid on the team single-digit numbers, while you throw an adult tantrum over the rules of football.

and this whole time I was thinking Ray Ray would end up in a different jersey color, not the jersey number. Goes to show, you really do learn something new each day!

My annual off-season rant on number sharing….I think it is one of the dumbest most selfish things going.

But I know that's me being an old man and nitpicking. But the punt returner guys/special team guys take it to a whole new level. I would either tell that player he has to change…OR I wouldn't hand the number to a CJ Clark type in the first place.

This rule has been around forever however each team handles it differently. If it really affects your performance that much change your number. No one cried about x switching his number on punt return before.

Or you know, let your level of play dictate who caters to your number or not.
