Ray-Ray Armstrong to file injunction

If the judge rules in favor of Ray Ray, then Golden had better make him pay for disgracing the team first, and had better make him earn a spot back on this team. Once that's done--let him play, put all the past stuff behind, and hope he can help us win a few more games this year.

If the judge rules against Ray Ray--I'll be okay with letting Rodgers and Highsmith either share the role, or those two compete and one of them win it outright. Both have had pretty good reviews thus far in camp, and Bush/Jenkins are youngbloods ready to take their opportunity and run if given the chance...so I'm not super-worried about this.

One thing about it--regardless of how it shakes out, I don't think Golden will let it become a cluster-fvck either way. I really think from what I've read/watched in these first few practices, that Golden has control of this team right now (Seantrel's absence included), and he's not about to let something like Ray Ray get in his way.

Flowers is running with the ones and Seantrel is running with the threes correct? I'm sure Golden will handle it properly the way he has done time and time again now.

I know that others have said this, but I just don't get what the argument for RRA is at this point. There are team rules and university rules. When a scholarship athlete signs his scholarship contract, he agrees to abide by those rules. If he breaks those rules, there are a range of possible punishments that the team and/or university can impose. The student-athlete is warned about the possible ramifications of breaking those rules in the future. If he breaks those rules in the future, he is subject to dismissal.

Sometimes rules aren't "fair." Welcome to real life. If you have a job, your employer may have rules that you don't like. If you break those rules, you can be fired, even if you think the rules are stupid. RRA knew the rules. He broke the rules more than once. He was certainly warned about breaking the rules in the future. He broke the rules again. He then lied about breaking the rules. Should student-athletes now use the courts to challenge when a coach makes him run stairs because he broke the rules? Or how about if he ends up in the doghouse and never gets to play?

This ridiculous. Does this crap happen at other schools? Kids get dismissed all the time for much less than what RR did. Dude is looking so pathetic. I was actually going to root for him to somehow make it in the league still, but probably not now.

I don't even think they would have any legal recourse even if Miami was a public institution. It's not though. Miami is a private school. They can probably dismiss you for giving Donna a nasty look if they feel like it.

The whole lawsuit is nonsense.

The Supreme Court has already ruled the NCAA doesn't have to impose due process in its proceedings. So RR's suit is based on bullshyte right off the bat.

And a NCAA school can revoke a football scholarship at any time they want. Look at the SEC, they kick players off their teams all the time just because they aren't very good players, not because they broke any school rules. And RR broke rules at the very least by initially lying to UM.

This Orlando law firm fully realizes this is a dog of a lawsuit. RR's father is just wasting his money and further deteroriating his son's reputation by pursuing this action.

And how do you know Golden wants Ray Ray off the team and this wasn't just an attempt to put the ball in the NCAA's court so they ok him to play? Some of you black and whites are missing the gray area in all of this.

Whether it was Golden or some UM administrator, the irrefutable fact is UM dismissed RR from the football team. If UM wanted to keep RR on the team and wanted to put the ball in the NCAA's court, UM would've suspended and awaited the NCAA's decision. UM decided enough was enough and parted ways with RR.

I'm still not seeing where the grey area is. If UM or Golden want to kick someone off the team, they have every right to do so.

Yo my man give it a rest. You keep asking what Ray Ray did that was so bad and you have been answered over a dozen times but for some reason it isn't getting thru. It doesn't matter what you feel the NCAA or the University should or shouldn't be able to do. Ray Ray got suspended. It damm sure wasn't for nothing. He then got suspended AGAIN! Then if that wasn't enough, he gets in trouble for a third time and KNOWING that he already had screwed up, decided he would lie about it. You can argue till you are blue in the face that the reasons he got suspended were unjustified but that makes no damm difference.

Here are the facts. He was suspended twice. The University and/or the Athletic Department do not have to disclose any of the information why so, you or any of us don't know exactly what the reasons were for. So kill all that noise that he didn't break any "REAL" rules. if no rules were broken he would not have been suspended. It's not rocket science here. He then uses the same poor judgement that got him into hot water the first time and then lies about THAT and gets dismissed from the team. There is a pattern here and it isn't a good one. Playing football for the U is a privilege, not a RIGHT! Ray Ray needs UM, UM doesn't need Ray Ray. He should know that by now.

Its ok for a kid to ***** up, kids are kids. How many strikes does a kid deserve. A leader of the defense in his senior year after being in trouble should know better. You can not deny that. So it is what it is. It sucks but that is just life.
Again, what did Ray Ray do that was so bad? Just because public perception has become mob rule doesn't mean he deserves his life altered for the worse. Ray Ray served his penalty and didn't break any real rules. He had become a leader on and off the football field by all accounts except for some of the village idiots on Canesinsight who are shellshocked by the NCAA.

Again, the rules you guys are claiming he broke aren't really that big of a deal and if the NCAA wasn't on campus he'd still be here. That's my opinion. And how many strikes has Seantrel had for violating real team rules and he's still around.

I have no idea where you are pulling your logic from but if you are suspended for 4 games then it IS a big deal. BTW...we are not claiming anything...we are arguing the pure facts. SUSPENDED FOR FOUR GAMES FOR NCAA VIOLATIONS OF THE RULES. That isn't an assumption. The other suspension obviously came from the team and we are not claiming that we know what the rules were that he violated but again you do not get suspended if you did not violate any rules.

Hey you might be hearing it from me first but don't think that Seantrel is off of the hotseat just yet. I'm pretty sure that whole situation hasn't fully come to a head yet.

Excuse me but the suspension was served last year. He did nothing wrong to be kicked off the team other than post some pics that stirred up the mob.

I thought Seantrel was never on the hotseat and he was just at a friends funeral? Oh you mean he's had quite a few real strikes against him?

IF the NCAA says Ray Ray is clear to play then I would take him back faster than Seantrel for their actions. Again, posting pictures of your date on facebook #1 is none of the NCAA's GD business and #2 only got Ray Ray kicked off because of mob rule and the current investigation. He may have had poor judgement but his career shouldn't be put in jeopardy over it. Let's see how long it takes for the NCAA to make their ruling. Maybe they'll just drag their feet like they do everything else and not give two shyts about Ray Ray's future. Power trippers tend to behave this way.

Seantrel was never suspended by the NCAA for 6 games.

He was apart of the smoker joker club that were all shown the door. Then he failed to make it back to summer workouts on time. Then he missed the 1st four practices heading into fall camp. If everything was just peachy then explain the circus shytshow around him currently.

If you are going to argue your point you have to stick to your point and your point was that Ray Ray never made any real mistakes. I simply point out to you that he did. That can not be argued.

Excuse me but the suspension was served last year. He did nothing wrong to be kicked off the team other than post some pics that stirred up the mob.

Like I said, Ray Ray served his punishment from the NCAA and had been a leader and was doing what he needed to do for the team. The other crap is nothing more than the Miami throwing Ray Ray to the wolves because the NCAA is currently on campus for their witch hunt.

How do you know this? Are you a coach on the team, or are you going on pure speculation from the small bits from the media???

GTFOOH! We all know why Ray Ray was shown the door. He was worse at the interwebs than you were and that doesn't mean he should have his career ruined. You were all for showing Seantrel love but Ray Ray gets thrown to the wolves and ridicule him? I thought you bruthas stuck together?

I'm going to laugh when the NCAA says no rules were violated and Ray Ray is out leading the secondary. I could be wrong but there's plenty of gray area you guys are missing right now. This is Miami's way of covering their ***.
