Every year these are these so called studs in the Miami area that Golden does not offer.

Bosa is one, and I guess Kirkland as well and now Wilson. There has to be something that our coaches see that repels them.

I trust the staff because there hasn't been a case where the kids we didn't offer went on to become beasts

1. Bosa had no interest in us
2. Kirkland situation is WAY different from this
3. Wilson has until end of summer to change the staffs mind but I'm not confident it will happen

Jhall, valid compared this to the coley situation? What about the coley situation?
Yeah, he has all these offers. We'll see how many are legit and where he ends up.
The staff may be wrong, but, it has tone that bad to not find a spot for a legacy.
I'll trust the staff here.

Man, I have had "VACane" on various UM boards for 15 years. You cannot pick something a little different?

All he meant was we waited a while before we really starting recruiting Coley.

Completely different reasons though IMO.

i disagree. i think if he truly has the offers he says he has, he will feel disrespected and won't get slow played by UM. he will drop UM. and i feel since he's a legacy kid, UM won't jerk him around either and leave him hanging around waiting for a ship at the last minute only to not offer.
i think there will be little similar to cunningham's recruitment.

That was in response to SB Nation article on whether or not he will be a corner or safety in college.

until the first day of practice where the school that recruited him as a corner will tell him to go with the safeties

wont be similar to Cunningham's as far as overall recruitment.

Cunningham situation there are wr growing like trees down here.....

There isnt many 6'2 200 pd guys that have film at cb that will be a safety in college......his offers will be legit..his ol man is the coach....at worst he would be at a Univ of South Carolina sort of school. Harriot has been sending kids with less talent at db to schools like Syracuse, etc.

lol @ too stiff and slow...when we trot out AJ Highsmith and Vaughn Telamaque (who i was a fan of)..kids not a cb...hes a spring eval kid....they probably held off on offer because they figure he would outgrow the position an might need be eval'd as a OLB..**** hes bigger than Jermaine Grace at the same stage.

Its February 2013, calm down. If he really wants to be here, than he has an entire year to convince the coaches as to why he should. Under Al, the ones that are good enough and truly want to be here will be here. How about we just let him prove himself.

Exactly meaning he's probably a tweener DB/LB. Not sure if you take a kid who's playing corner in HS but may grow into a linebacker.

Right. He's too stiff and slow to play corner is all anyone said. His only elite offer as a sophomore attribute is his size IF you think he can stay at corner which few think he can. Otherwise you have to start evaluating him as a safety or maybe OLB. Maybe he gets an offer here, maybe not. I agree he will end up somewhere. But he's not an elite how have we not offered yet prospect.

I don't like the attitude if this is his opinion.

why not? isn't that the same type of attitude Winky has regarding himself at qb? Or Dalvin at rb?
