Where are all the tough guys who **** on the few of us who questioned why Gil was always at UGA and other schools if he was so solid to UM? Where you at, broke? Corporal? Pay attention to actions, dumb asses. Actions.

We'll hope for the best, but we saw the same scenario with BJ Henderson last year where we had to beg to thwart a decommit. It worked for a couple months then he wound up decommitting eventually.

This is very different from that boy bj. He wants to be a cane... that does count for alot.

What then? You're all **** liars if you judge these children who are forced to make that call. For some it's a simple game to collect for visits & tweets etc till signing day knowing these people paid upfront. So legit question on this... when Richt was at GA how much was he playing those same games? We talk about all of the other schools doing it (and I don't doubt that it happens at all), but when Richt was at GA, he did pretty well recruiting in a conf the NCAA 'doesn't care about enforcing' (I think it's more that those schools don't have turncoat boosters) and where Kirby Smart 'hands you 350K', I find it hard to believe he was not doing the same games. And if so, then he must have some pretty conflicted feelings right now.

I am not saying that we detail specifics of what Richt may or may not of done, but a huge portion of the posters on here constantly complain that everyone other team/staff does stuff, but that our program/staff is above it.

Honestly don't think that will be the difference. UGA had elite talent and recruiting just wasn't the problem. The problem was that they would always lose a game they should not have. Someone compared Richt to Jimbo in that they just aren't elite game day coaches but they are great CEOs. Richt can win here because, while his recruiting was elite at UGA this is Miami and the very best is a stones throw from campus and but he needs to surround himself with the proper assistants. I'm sold on Kool, this is the year we find out about the rest of them.

Your post is true to an extent ; those are still guys that we wanted, had committed, and failed to land. It's easy in hindsight to point out the guys we missed on that didn't pan out, but it was still a recruiting fail at the time especially when you consider who we replaced those decommits with

As a recent high school coach, he has a perspective on the impact of a school gaining momentum in the recruiting world.

“These kids all know each other with all of the 7-on-7s going on so when half the kids on your 7-on-7 team are committed to UM and talking about the University of Miami, it’s easy for it to appeal to them,” Rumph said. “We have that advantage with South Florida because they come to practice and they come to our scrimmages to see what we’re doing. The proof is in the pudding.

“All we’ve got to continue as a team is putting good products out there and just staying on top of the kids with what they’re doing, keeping in touch with them, and when the season rolls around and we’re a playoff team and we’re excellent or what we should be doing as a team there’s going to be a lot of kids trying to get into the University of Miami.”

I'm not sure how that's relevant to OUR situation now. No one that knows richt will say he's a patron saint. He plays the game to win... But you also just might get dealt a very different hand from one moment to the next.
