I'll say this. Gilbert Frierson might be on the verge of decommitting.

Where are all the tough guys who **** on the few of us who questioned why Gil was always at UGA and other schools if he was so solid to UM? Where you at, broke? Corporal? Pay attention to actions, dumb asses. Actions.

Remember when I stripped Gil of his Ambassador status that you guys gave him because of his actions? These dudes ain't fooling the Legend.

As The Franchise always said, if they're taking visits, they aren't solid

So much for being the ambassador for the class

The fake tough guys don't want to listen to The Legend because The Legend calls it like it is. It's too painful for their fragile psyches.

I don't think you're getting the point , I'm the one who doesn't care if they're taking visits . Or flirting , or what they post on social media (I don't even have social media). I think grown men posting the same nonstop tears when a kid could decommit / or not commit is just weird. The same reason I laugh at the gators tears threads.
Explain what you were right about and I'm wrong? At no point did I say Campbell was committing or jobe is solid.

I'm not the one calling myself " the legend " because somebody decommitted.

Wow you predicted a 17 year old kid would change his pledge. Amazing stuff sir, any stock advice?

It's a free country "legend" , feel free to post the same rhetoric or tears as much as you like in every soft commit/targets thread. Just like I have the right to say grown men crying about this is a little weird.

I guess I am the tough guy.

So I'll just let the tear brigade stress , worry and be emotional in the Jobe/Campbell threads and just read it over and over.

Then see the same " tough guys " post in other threads about ***hits posters not being able to handle recruiting". How rich?

Maybe your tough exterior/cool guy act is all a front. You're a very emotional caring guy, and that's something to be proud of General Chise.

Now I'll let you guys get back to nutting out about the same recruits in FREAKING JULY!!

Corporal Cribby out.
Cribby, i thought you were a fan of Gator Tears???

Huge fan, I laugh at their fans but I'm now getting cane tears to entertain me. Both are funny but nothing is funnier than gator tears

THERES NOTHING FUNNY ABOUT CANESTEERS THIS MY LIFE MAN LOVE IT OR LEV IT!!!

I'll take the L here but it looks like the situation has been cleared up for now. No decommitment imminent

You're just relaying real time info that can change. No L.

We'll hope for the best, but we saw the same scenario with BJ Henderson last year where we had to beg to thwart a decommit. It worked for a couple months then he wound up decommitting eventually.

This is very different from that boy bj. He wants to be a cane... that does count for alot.
If Gil wants to be a Cane he'll be a Cane. Guys turn down bribes all the time.

If he wants an immediate chunk of money that his family will waste quickly more than he wants to be a Cane then that's on him. Hopefully, Frank will straighten his *** out if Frank has any juice with him.

I'll say this. Gilbert Frierson might be on the verge of decommitting.

What I'm really curious about Pete is if you know what's really going on with gil & Georgia than why don't you just tell these people about jobe & bama unless you're not aware of it... I've been telling y'all for months we holding on by real thin strings to this class. All that being said no matter what these made schools are doing we WILL be in it until signing day

This is very ominous coming from one of the best insiders on the board. Definitely cause for concern, but I guess we will wait on Pete's response.

This is real simple & people make it more than what it is. If you're not aware COLLEGE FOOTBALL IS A HUGE BUSINESS! some places (sec who doesn't have to deal with legitimate concerns from the ncaa reprisals)are far more invested in it than others... everyone thinks this kid doesn't want to be here oh boo hoo... reality is this & feel free to judge but as a inner city kid who comes from next to nothing or meager at best surroundings what do you realistically expect these kids to say when Nick savant flus a chopper in to drop you off your new car keys,to drop you 200k in cash,to give your family the keys & paperwork to a new house... when Kirby smart hands you 350k... What then? You're all **** liars if you judge these children who are forced to make that call. For some it's a simple game to collect for visits & tweets etc till signing day knowing these people paid upfront. Only so much they can do without ****ing themselves than others just take the easy route...

So legit question on this... when Richt was at GA how much was he playing those same games? We talk about all of the other schools doing it (and I don't doubt that it happens at all), but when Richt was at GA, he did pretty well recruiting in a conf the NCAA 'doesn't care about enforcing' (I think it's more that those schools don't have turncoat boosters) and where Kirby Smart 'hands you 350K', I find it hard to believe he was not doing the same games. And if so, then he must have some pretty conflicted feelings right now.

Great question. Let's blow up UM's HC on a public forum for cheating a couple years ago at his previous job. Great plan.

Swear we have the dumbest fan base in all the land.

Obviously there is some inside stuff going down that Pete and Dee are privy to, but that aside, as always this comes down to winning games.

UM was the hot place to commit and spots were filling up. Now the excitement has died down.

Next comes the regular season and the product we put on the field. If we win, they will come. Even if not jobe or Gil, guys will pop up, esp to play in this fast, aggressive defense.

Last 10-15 years, we don't win and they go elsewhere. That's gotta change.

We won 9 games last year who went elsewhere?.... out of the 14 decommits only 2 were 4 star(cj and perry) perry obviously committed back. Outside of mckityy, Henderson and Edwards the rest of the decommits were dropped by he staff. Y'all have been brainwashed by rival fans into thinking all of our good commits eventually decommit from Miami. Its an overblown narrative.....

Well that is exactly what happened in 2013-2016 though. We would have monster classes that fizzled out in the end, and hence our rivals go with that narrative. It wasnt problem last year for the most part though.

I'm not even talking about decommitments. I'm saying we aren't getting guys in the first place. Yes, we have some nice players, but too many 2nd place finishes. That changes with winning.

When you actually look back and see who decommitted they haven't really had amazing careers

Only ones who have been decent was Alex Collins, scarlett(had an okay year last year, we got walton though), Travis rudolph

Valentine a dud in college
Dexter Williams? Hasn't done much
Cronkite hasn't done much
Tyler Byrd playing receiver
Amir rasul 5th string rb
Keyshon camp has not made any noise
Kevin grooms couldn't make it in school
Angelo jean Louis couldn't make it to Miami
Chauncey Gardne? He's okay but he's not a corner
Keith Bryant transferred
Reilly gibbons transferred
Dwayne Lawson transferred
Whitfield had an okay career

We didn't miss on much

Exactly we sucking off Jobe, GF...**** one bad injuries and it's a wrap.

I am not saying that we detail specifics of what Richt may or may not of done, but a huge portion of the posters on here constantly complain that everyone other team/staff does stuff, but that our program/staff is above it.

Always during the summer that these kids' heads get turned. Going to learn a lot about whether Richt is going to turn this place back into Miami or simply into Georgia South (10 wins and the Citrus Bowl) based on how he closes out this class.

I'd love to have Garner I've been saying that since Richt was hired. I thought he would be a future 5 star his sophomore year when his name first started coming up. High ceiling that can play CB or S. Hate we're missing Frierson, can't downplay that. But I really like Garner just as much

Is garner a safety or a lanky corner though? Also the oxbridge kid may be in the picture.

awful !

Honestly don't think that will be the difference. UGA had elite talent and recruiting just wasn't the problem. The problem was that they would always lose a game they should not have. Someone compared Richt to Jimbo in that they just aren't elite game day coaches but they are great CEOs. Richt can win here because, while his recruiting was elite at UGA this is Miami and the very best is a stones throw from campus and but he needs to surround himself with the proper assistants. I'm sold on Kool, this is the year we find out about the rest of them.

We didn't miss on much

Your post is true to an extent ; those are still guys that we wanted, had committed, and failed to land. It's easy in hindsight to point out the guys we missed on that didn't pan out, but it was still a recruiting fail at the time especially when you consider who we replaced those decommits with

If Gil needs/wants the money why wouldnt he just reach out to Frank?

Cause it's not about that... Not sure how old you are or how your mind works. But what kid doesn't want his own? To be able to say I did this...

Canes Tears
So in these next few months what happened.....

Miami’s class ranks No. 1 in the country.

“It’s awesome,” cornerbacks coach Mike Rumph said. “We’ve got some really good kids, some national kids that they’re starting to believe in the University of Miami and once that starts it’s a downhill affect where down the line it’s going to be hard for kids to come because we’re going to have so many really good kids in front of them.

“Coach (Mark) Richt talks about it all the time as far as just being a good recruiter and staying tenacious about staying on top of the kids and this staff has done a great job and has taught me a lot as far as doing those things well too.”

Rumph is in his second year at Miami after a three-year stint as head coach of American Heritage School winning two state titles and producing a number of Division I players.

As a recent high school coach, he has a perspective on the impact of a school gaining momentum in the recruiting world.

“These kids all know each other with all of the 7-on-7s going on so when half the kids on your 7-on-7 team are committed to UM and talking about the University of Miami, it’s easy for it to appeal to them,” Rumph said. “We have that advantage with South Florida because they come to practice and they come to our scrimmages to see what we’re doing. The proof is in the pudding.

“All we’ve got to continue as a team is putting good products out there and just staying on top of the kids with what they’re doing, keeping in touch with them, and when the season rolls around and we’re a playoff team and we’re excellent or what we should be doing as a team there’s going to be a lot of kids trying to get into the University of Miami.”

tellin yall he got that elephant tranquilizer dart personality

Have you met him? Because that is not the impression I got from him.

from interviews and **** like that observing what i observe...........never said i met him im saying in interviews and **** like that he sounds boring. Maybe hes not but even if hes this cool *** dude is he recruiting good is the main question above all

He's recruiting **** good. Not even a question. There is intangibles on the table that we just can't match. People need to put things in perspective

I'm not sure how that's relevant to OUR situation now. No one that knows richt will say he's a patron saint. He plays the game to win... But you also just might get dealt a very different hand from one moment to the next.
