Dawson has played a role with our QB room but the $ decisions go above him.Can Dawson not pick and choose? He has his hands tied behind his back? Curious cause I feel like we can trust his evals a little.

Take him but only if he wears a number in the 30s and a baggy jersey. I want to see heads explode.
You got Dawson walking out of the building if we don't land a portal QB? And somehow that won't cause his stock to plummet? ****, man.I have to imagine Dawson leaves if they don't land someone in the portal. He'd be crazy not to. His stock won't get higher than it is now.

Then why is he still here? If his stock is so high why is he still at MiamiLol. He just had the #1 offense in the country and a Heisman candidate QB. His stock isn't getting any higher and no other school is gonna give a s*** if he leaves because he has to trot out Emory next year.
****, man.
Yep. And the worst part is Mendoza is better or as good as most of the above. It’s not like last year where we were at least playing with fire in the hopes of landing a true Day 1 stud.So realistically as of 01/08/25 at 11:17am:
Begging to leave draft:
- Beck
- Milroe
Competing with ND, Oregon, OSU potentially for:
- Ewers
Taking before the first day of spring as a grad transfer:
- Drones
Is that really all there is at this point?
My mom would make a better qb than Emory. I would have taken anyone for at least competition this spring.Who EXACTLY do you believe we made a mistake not taking?
There were solid options in the portal. No Cam Wards, but solid options. And Mario didn’t even bring 1 dude on an official visit. That’s malpractice.
Maybe it was just me but your joke fell flat then. Stick to just wearing clown makeup. Thanks, Detective. Was just trolling the turds

We are talking about the Mendoza that couldn't beat FSU?Yep. And the worst part is Mendoza is better or as good as most of the above. It’s not like last year where we were at least playing with fire in the hopes of landing a true Day 1 stud.
Compared to Emory I agree but you have no idea how strong they may/may not feel about a grad transfer or Beck/Ewers.My mom would make a better qb than Emory. I would have taken anyone for at least competition this spring.
I would have taken in no order
Mendoza
Drones
The kid from Tulane
The one from SD St
Anyone from Ohio St
Actually you just make a list and I’ll say yes. There’s too many to name.
Being in the position where it’s either Beck Or Ewers or Emory is unacceptable.
Only if you stop reading to kids at the library in drag
I have an idea of who’s going to win when it comes to us vs Oregon vs Georgia to pay a qb. But that’s just me, I guess.Compared to Emory I agree but you have no idea how strong they may/may not feel about a grad transfer or Beck/Ewers.
Fair enoughIt’s only malpractice if we go into ND with Emory or Luke. That won’t happen.
We are talking about the Mendoza that couldn't beat FSU?
The same Mendoza that accumilated a majority of his stats against the bottom 3 teams in the ACC who had a combined record of 9-27 and a 5-7 Oregon State team?
I feel like the Mendoza love from the fan base comes from a place of desperation we have given the state of the QB availability in the portal.
At the end of the day, yes he is better than Emory, but he comes with glaring limitations in his mechanics and ability.
Emory wins us 4-6 games under center. Mendoza finds a way to win a couple of the bigger games but would still only be 6-8 wins. In my opinion of course.
Not sure if the staff was/would be willing to commit to that type of ceiling with how much time was left for QBs to enter the portal. Basically putting a cap on next years potential by doing so.
