QBS in the Portal as of 11/28

I wonder how bad our defense would be ranked when you take out programs like Ball-gag St, FAMU, and UF. Not really fair to count lesser programs like that in the rankings
Every team in those rankings plays similar stiffs so the rankings are fair.

Ohio State recruits QBs probably better then anyone the last 10 + years.. I would take him just based on that
Devin Brown has a strong arm with athleticism to improvise.....Burrow didn't have any production at OSU either before transferring out....could be a sleeper like Shough or Leavit 3* low rated portal QBs better than Emory....I'd definitely take him now then look for one more when the portal opens back up...

Take him but only if he wears a number in the 30s and a baggy jersey. I want to see heads explode.

I'm told his dream jersey number is 35.

I have to imagine Dawson leaves if they don't land someone in the portal. He'd be crazy not to. His stock won't get higher than it is now.
You got Dawson walking out of the building if we don't land a portal QB? And somehow that won't cause his stock to plummet? ****, man.

So we’re ****ed huh?? Emory v nickel to see who leads us to the worst year of Mario’s tenure.

No WRs, no QB, worse Te room, worse RB room. Got significantly worse from last year on just about every front. Rebuild in year 4, wooohooo elite roster construction huh?

Lol. He just had the #1 offense in the country and a Heisman candidate QB. His stock isn't getting any higher and no other school is gonna give a s*** if he leaves because he has to trot out Emory next year.

****, man.

Then why is he still here? If his stock is so high why is he still at Miami

So realistically as of 01/08/25 at 11:17am:

Begging to leave draft:
- Beck
- Milroe

Competing with ND, Oregon, OSU potentially for:
- Ewers

Taking before the first day of spring as a grad transfer:
- Drones

Is that really all there is at this point?
Yep. And the worst part is Mendoza is better or as good as most of the above. It’s not like last year where we were at least playing with fire in the hopes of landing a true Day 1 stud.

Who EXACTLY do you believe we made a mistake not taking?
My mom would make a better qb than Emory. I would have taken anyone for at least competition this spring.

I would have taken in no order
Mendoza
Drones
The kid from Tulane
The one from SD St
Anyone from Ohio St

Actually you just make a list and I’ll say yes. There’s too many to name.

Being in the position where it’s either Beck Or Ewers or Emory is unacceptable.

We are talking about the Mendoza that couldn't beat FSU?

The same Mendoza that accumilated a majority of his stats against the bottom 3 teams in the ACC who had a combined record of 9-27 and a 5-7 Oregon State team?

I feel like the Mendoza love from the fan base comes from a place of desperation we have given the state of the QB availability in the portal.

At the end of the day, yes he is better than Emory, but he comes with glaring limitations in his mechanics and ability.

Emory wins us 4-6 games under center. Mendoza finds a way to win a couple of the bigger games but would still only be 6-8 wins. In my opinion of course.

Not sure if the staff was/would be willing to commit to that type of ceiling with how much time was left for QBs to enter the portal. Basically putting a cap on next years potential by doing so.
