Knowing what we know now, instead of waiting on Mateer, Miami should have pivoted the moment we weren’t getting a firm answer from Mateer on just visiting and moved on to someone like Jackson Arnold and then got Singleton to go with Daniels (because lets face it, Daniels was always coming this time around).

Of course the fans would have been upset for not seeing the whole Mateer situation out, but this is what happens when you go all in and you are not holding the nuts.

The thing is that the Mateer situation didn't really drag out. Basically all options were still on the table when he made his decision...they didn't really pursue any of them.
Will see how it all works out...maybe it will all come together...but if it doesn't, there will be a lot of FAIR criticism for how it has been handled. We will see soon enough.

We're waiting on someone, and by then the window for Drones to enter the portal likely closes. We've intentionally bypassed a lot of QBs, and it makes zero sense to suddenly panic and go all-in on Drones or Mendoza.

Desperation is running the board right now because nobody knows anything and people who do know aren't talking. Just have to sit back and let it all play out.

Did you all see the UNT game last night.
UNT started a guy who last started a game in the 9th grade! Both coaches afterwards suggested he might have the job for next fall.
(Reese P just transferred there).

1st start since 9th grade???

If we lose Dawson, we should pay this guy top money to be CO-HC/OC and then that might solve our QB issues moving forward as he can eval QBs and his scheme creates a lot of wide open WRs.

that's gotta be the dream - get a free ride to college for taking 2nd team snaps all thoughout high school and college

To say he’s not very good is a little bit of an exaggeration.

Once we saw Cam elevate his game x1000 after being behind our OL, you have to assume everyone can elevate their game.

Now, Cams ceiling is higher than everybody so I’m not comparing them. Just the situation.

Drones has an entirely different skill set and one that allows us to dominate in different areas.
