QBS in the Portal as of 11/28

At this point I’m hoping for a guy with a decent arm that takes care of the ball and can move the chains with his legs.

Add in the o-line, running game and defense closer to 2023 we can still win 8-10 games

I think we can all agree he was not a fit, at all, in Debors offense. That drop from last year to now is wild. Hes gonna go to an avg ACC team and have a Kyle McCord year

you mean using what we currently have on roster as the bar is not the way to go?

please explain, should we be comparing portal candidates to Patrick mahomes, or tom brady instead?
Come on man. That's a little much. You don't think there's anything between literally our worst option at QB and literally the best QB in the world?

I know for a fact that Mario's bar is NOT "anyone who's better than Emory Williams". He's aiming waaay higher than that.

the options are the qb's in the portal and those that may enter - that's it

beck (already declared, but still could happen i guess), ewers (less likely), milroe

and who else?

you're acting like milroe is trash - well maybe he is , but he's better than what we got and the other two are way less likely to enter

unless you're thinking we beg poff to come back or the san diego state qb to come here? as both of those are downgrades from alabama's starting QB in a dawson offense

are there some other magical options out there that would cause you to dismiss milroe so easily?

I think that's where we've gotten in communication. Milroe has his own issues, but he wasn't the dog **** I was referring to.

Bruh LSU is ****ting so hard on Baylor i cant even get to see if Sawyer Robertson is good or not wtf. Baylor is completely outmatched

We need
I’m confused, what’s the bar here. Because if it’s Cam, almost no QB is ever gonna be good enough again

And the chances of us replicating this type of offense are slim to none, yall might as well accept it now lol
I understand that, and yes we have been a middle pack type ACC team for better part of 20 years, but that isnt how alot of programs operate. Alabama thru years Tua-->Mac-->Young offenses stay elite.

Clemson when they had Watson then Lawrence now this season Klubnik had them as elite offense again.

Ohio State Barrett-->Haskins(RIP)-->Fields-->Stroud just elite offenses after elite offenses

UGA went from Stetson To Beck 2022-2023, and their offense went from 501 YPG to 496 YPG, but YPP went from 7.2 to 7.3.

If Mario is going to bring in Air Raid like he has, with elite OL, and let OCs do their thing top 10 offenses should be more regular things around here. Especially if you hit on High School QB like Nickel or Coleman.

Like next season yeah offense wont be as good as you lose QB, RB, TE, and top 4 WRs, but I think the expectations should be raised around here when it comes to offense.

Overall I agree it will be hard to replicate all the pieces to this offense that made it #1.
