I want to start tempring down expectations on this kid. Give him at least 2 years to sit and learn.

I feel like this board has already anointed him the next best thing when the reality is he's just the first P4 QB prospect this staff has signed out of high school. With him and Coleman in the pipe I feel good about it getting fixed from an overall group.

One year for sure, but if he’s not the man heading into his sophomore year gotta look to recruit over him in the portal. Waiting for a guy to be a junior to be a clear cut starter is not feasible in this NIL era.

At this point, we're either going to (1) land Mendoza (per Lake we seem to be pursuing; (2) will make a serious run at Ewers/Other CFP QB not in portal; or (3) will ride with Emory.

(1) and (2) are good options, (3) would be bad.

What are the boards thoughts on the UTSA QB? I don't really know much about him. I've caught parts of a couple of their games, and he looked good in them.
