QBS in the Portal as of 11/28

We at minimum need a QB who is at least a threat to run and/or has the mobility to extend plays. The whole 'dual-threat' to me is incredibly overblown.
Ah, a dual threat IS simply a guy who has legs, mobility, and can extend plays or house one. Nothing overblown about having a QB who is an athlete.

All this "safe floor" talk is Mario's love language. Gives him the ammo he needs to play his "safe" and "conservative" offense.

Hope we get a game changer in the portal who inspires confidence for a fast and aggressive offense and not just a "safe floor" guy.

This is the exact reply I'd expect from a casual fan. We threw the ball more times this year than FSU and they are widely considered to have one of the most prolific offenses in the country.

Throwing more or less doesn't define fast and aggressive or safe and conservative. That's "casual fan" talk.

I'll be honest, I don't think our guy is in the portal yet. It doesn't officially open until Monday and there are plenty of games this weekend. I believe we have an idea of who our targets will be but I don't believe they are all available yet. I think if we are saying its Rogers, Howard, or Jefferson it could very well be one of those guys but i think we will get a legit idea of THE guy by the end of next week.

Biggest advantage to me, if we plug in a guy who has the threat to pull it and run, it would go a long way to solving our short yardage and red zone issues. It felt like we could get every 2nd and 1, but 3rd and 1 and 4th and 1 we seemed to get stonewalled a lot even behind our elite OL because we were so predictable.

For me, that's one reason it was maddening that Jacurri didn't get any snaps...but I don't want to derail.

Just watched some Sluka highlights. Kid is tough AF and has a knack for making plays. We could do worse.
