Sniffing but not serious. If they wanted a QB they would have had one visit. Now it’s going to be dead period and they didn’t bring in a single guy.

They seem set on their 2023 and 2024 guys from high school.

Don't disagree with this. Until there's a confirmed visit can't say they're seriously after a QB.

The one guy they might be linked with even without a visit is KJ Jefferson.

Agree if it’s about money and improving draft stock go to Miami or usc or Ohio state or auburn. Pro makes zero sense to me with the NIL we have heard thrown at him.

Just listened to an interview of the editor of one of the Auburn fan sites "yes we are interested in looking at a QB but he has to be a fit from an NIL perspective as well as skill set and meshing with the current roster. If he is a guy looking for $1 million dollars in NIL I just don't see Coach Freeze doing it because of our commitments to 2024 class and I believe he would prefer to go into 2024 with Thorne". If that is the case it takes Auburn out of the equation and we go back to "Miami / FSU / Vs mid to low 3rd round pick ... potentially". Not sure how accurate that NFL grade is .. but it might be lower. Believe Miami would be higher on the NIL than FSU and that their main focus is DJ.

He was the one guy they were linked to an I don’t think he’s even officially in the portal.

I'm not expecting Ward to take any more visits ahead of the dead period, per a source close to the situation. Ward is going to go home and mull over his two trips. I don't think they have a set decision timeline, but there's obviously a bit of urgency given the QB situations at both Miami and FSU. I do expect that Ward will have one or two other Zoom calls with some schools this weekend, however. - Chris Hummer
