Q&A

Great Q&A, Austin. I also loved the podcast that you did with Pete.

Congratulations on getting to play football for the U. That's special.

One question please, if you're game: what was the biggest reason for the 5-game win streak to close the season with the team looking sharper each game? What, if any, part of that should translate to next season with the question mark at QB?

Will the added mobility of a new QB offset Kaaya's passing value and be a net positive to the QB position under Richt's offensive play calling? Do you think we'll go up tempo and try to squeeze in 70+ snaps a game because of the added mobility and improved OL?

Will Choc get his chance this year?

And who do you predict will start at WR this year? Give me the starting 3.

How well to the coaches get along personally and schematically? Do we need to worry about any of our coaces leaving if SEC school comes calling?

Some you guys really need to listen to the podcast. He answers many of these questions.

This is a great thread idea though.

Question - With you saying you would like to be a sports agent and knowing Miami is about to put out a ton of NFL players in the next 3 years do you worry that Drew Rosenhaus might see you as a threat and slash your tires?

Question - without naming schools (your a future agent now) what were some of the most extreme recruiting offers to some of your teammates had and said no to so they could go to Miami?

Question - When players host recruits do they know when a recruit is there just for a trip and are able to notify the current staff that the kid is not coming? Did the staff know some of the bigtime WR's were not coming?

Question - After FSU who is seen as Miami's biggest rival by the players? Why?

Question - It seemed hard for Richt to discover Njoku as a mismatch until late in the season. Does Richt have blind spot for TE's or were the TE's covered more than we thought after watching film? Is Richt a believer in the TE now?

Is there times where Kareem Brown is learning or working with Coach Kool?

I think somewhat, he's limited to what he can do though since there's a limit on coaches

I meant on the coaching side of things, do you think or see Brown as someone trying to be some what of an apprentice to Kul? I'm a fan of Brown and would love to see him become a successful coach down the line

Pretty sure Hes not allowed to really coach the players though because of the rules.

Could be learning from kul behind the scenes, but he'd know nothing about that.

I've seen him helping guys out some and I think he's involved with players in the film rooms, but he can't actually coach on the field during practice. He's run some guys through drills after practice or when guys come in for extra work

1) Who has the biggest crank on the team (outside of you, obviously)?

2) Is it true that Gadbois once tried to fight Golden and that's why he was dismissed from the team?

3) Which coach is most likely to be hitting the sauce in the Grove on any given night?

4) Which coach would you sit down and have a beer with?

1) Probably shouldn't post it lmao
2) I didn't see everything but it was during one of the Navy Seals training workouts we did and somehow an argument started
3) If I had to guess I'd say Dugans
4) I had a drink with Coach Rumph at Universal during the bowl week. He's a great guy to be around, so I'd love to have another with him. As for someone new I'd say Coach Dugans

Most talented player during your 4 years at Miami and who talent did Al waste the most?

Any good official visits stories? like when Eddie Johnson got in a fight

Njoku was the best athlete, followed closely by Dorsett. Hard to go against Duke as far as pure football talent, but Ahmmon could get there. Chick and Tracy were probably used the worst. Unfortunately I don't have any good OV stories.

Do you feel our S&C is better than before and on the levels of Bama, LSU , Clemson ect...?

I think a lot of guys were stronger before just from a 1 rep standpoint, but everyone is much more athletic with better muscular endurance now, which translates better to game day. I'd find it hard to believe that any of those school's workouts have been harder than ours the last year.

Do you feel Richt's playcalling issues early in season were due to rust? Did you feel his playcalling improved at the end of the season?

Most likely yes. By the end of the season I think we could have put up big offensive numbers on any team in the country.

Does your cranketh swingeth east or west?

Its like a pendulum, swinging back and forth
