Q&A

Not for sure if you can say or want to, but what really happen to Stacy Coley his sophomore year to have that much of a decline?

He didn't take the weight room very seriously early on, and he ended up just getting banged up a lot and had some nagging hamstring issues

I know us fans aren't big fans of the Thursday night, with no layoff beforehand, games, but how much of a difference in game prep does it make to play a game on limited rest, ala what you guys had to do against VT this year?

Also, the fan-base sometimes can feel...slighted...by the occasionally one sided nature of ACC officiating. Is there any talk internally about officiating in the ACC? Especially the fiasco that was the lateral game against Duke?

Its never easy since you need that rest to recover from the last game. I'm sure it made a difference, especially playing in a hostile environment. I know some formal complaints were filed by us after a few games due to botched calls

Talk about the differences between the Gorlden U Tough program vs Richt's mat drills.

I'm a sucker for mat drill info.

They're about equally hard. The thing with this staff is there are 5 workouts a week for winter, and then 3 workouts and 3 practices in spring. The old staff had 3 workouts a week in winter and then 3 practices and 2 workouts in spring. So the schedule and amount of work done make it a tougher program as a whole.

**** I can't believe I am so late to the party on this - this is the best, most informative thread I have seen since I've been on message boards...

Before Gus got hurt he was the best of all of them, but wasn't quite the same after. Mark is the most talented all around, Joe ran the hardest and Homer was the best athlete

Did bleakvern pay you to say this?

LOL at all you gots who ragged on me about Gus....still praying he stays...This Fake player said the exact said thing I have said about gus for 3 years now ..also hit the nail on the head about Homer which i have also said hes the best athlete but not the best running back

I'm with you Vern. I always thought it was close, but Gus was the best of what we had. So it's good to see someone on the team with that same opinion.

lololololol

Gus lost some speed and burst that he had before the injury, so I think it was right that he was behind Walton and Yearby most of the season

I can respect that!

I never thought Gus was better than Yearby and my boy that coached you told me that also.

Did he play most of this year hurt? He seems to have lost a step.

Also, just how good is Richards? Is it obvious in practice that he's on another level to everyone else?

Is there times where Kareem Brown is learning or working with Coach Kool?

I think somewhat, he's limited to what he can do though since there's a limit on coaches

I meant on the coaching side of things, do you think or see Brown as someone trying to be some what of an apprentice to Kul? I'm a fan of Brown and would love to see him become a successful coach down the line
