I don't consider myself a mope in the least, but this QB competition does seem set-up in favor of Heaps.
The board should automatically replace the word "mope" with "I suck huge dlcks" whenever anyone posts it.
That's one option. Or people could stop being so ridiculously mopey.
Or, those who skip around in rainbow shirts could read objective comments about the program without crying and holding a group meeting for support.

In the meantime, we can make the board not unreadable. The board should automatically replace the word "mope" with "I suck huge dlcks" whenever anyone posts it.

It's a little annoying. Cmon bruh. I hate the term "mope" too. Its just as played out as the guys who whine and complain all day. I just think we should save the ****ing and moaning for when we actually lose. Ya feel me?

By virtue of him being the experienced senior player and the other option being a true freshman, non-EE QB, that in-and-of-itself sets things up in favor of Heaps. Very few coaches are comfortable playing a true freshman QB, especially to start the season.

From what I've read Kaaya has out performed Heaps and IMO that's enough. The only way to get experience is playing and Kaaya seems to have the maturity to handle the job.

Honest question, how so? Kaaya seems to have been given every opportunity, even resting Heaps during the scrimmage.
I get the whole starting the senior at QB line of thinking, but I think people using Goldens history of going with the veteran are looking at the QB battle wrong.

Only person that has said that is D. Every player and stat says Heaps has played as good as Kaaya. Obviously Kaaya has the higher ceiling but that doesn't just mean you automatically put him in there.
Hey I want it to be Kaaya too, but people are making an awful lot of assumptions based on little details that emerge from these reports. You know Golden wants a QB at lousiville on Labor Day that won't turn the ball over. That might be the deciding factor in a tight battle, and to Kaayas credit, the kid has only been here for a couple months.

I guess the way I'm looking at it is Kaaya has performed well in both scrimmages, has a handle on the playbook, and has shown maturity far beyond his years.
Heaps seems to be throwing more ints. in practice than Kaaya and being a fifth year senior shows a similar command of the offense because he also just got here.
I look at things as, if they're even or close give the youth a chance to learn if you feel he's mature enough to handle the lumps that are bound to come from being a true freshman making the jump to big-time college ball.

I agree with you but I don't agree when you say this seems to be set up for Heaps. Giving Kaaya the reigns in the last scrimmage and during practices constantly says they are giving Kaaya every opportunity to win the job.
I don't have a problem with beating up the coaches when it makes sense, but when you can tell it is a setup for schtick and ****ing and it is poorly done or untimely it is just sad.
Even more sad --- being a **** that doesn't post, but negs people for saying anything anti-mope. Very sad.
