Just saying I asked Cooper Petagna for the coaches cut he watched to make that statement and his response:

“I haven’t cut his tape. That’s the word from multiple conference opponent staff members”

Have yet to receive anything. I’ll just leave it to my prior assumption from having mutual good friends… that he’s a clueless ****.

It's not *****ing, it's a legitimate gripe because he was terrible in coverage.

The only reason why people are making a fuss about it is because the propaganda brigade came out in full force trying to convince people that he's actually a good Corner & that everyone else that has eyes doesn't know what they're watching.

If they would've just sold it as a depth piece in case someone else hits the portal in Spring, then it wouldn't have been that big of a deal.

Pretending like EK is better than Tacario Davis, or that we shouldn't react to his poor play because he may become the next DJ Ivey (as if that's some kinda badge of honor), is completely disingenuous & why people have been reacting the way they have.

If we could have the current version of Ivey, sure! But I think we all remember how bad he was here…would have fit in with this year’s group. Possible to have two thoughts in your head at the same time.

The comment you responded to is true. If we land Tacario Davis And Charles Brantley - two CBs you were incredibly high on, do you think there should still be insufferable *****ing and moping about CB on here? My point was nothing is ever going to be good enough for the mopes here. We can bringing in your two favorite portal CB prospects, have OJ and still get Lucas, and get the top or 2nd best safety in the portal and there would be non stop *****ing about us taking Karnley. You know it too.

Regarding Karnley specifically, That is your evaluation. Others evaluated him and view him better than you do. Rating services have rated him highly. Other programs have prioritized him. I do find it funny that given all the self admitted star whores and people that say follow the offers, we have here how it's okay to ***** about all the misses, but it's so wrong to talk positively about the highly rated guys we land lol. Again I'm not saying i think he'll be good. I dont know.

But I am saying taking him was no different than us taking Broussard if he committed. The only difference is yall are ASSUMING because you've decided the staff is bad at evaluating DBs that they are bringing him in to start. There has literally been no evidence of that or that they were selling him that way lol. What I am assuming and imo is incredibly obvious given all the evidence of what we are trying to do in the portal is that he was never anything more than a CB they view as developmental and possibly better than Richard right away and maybe Ryan Mack with 3 yrs of eligibility left and good traits and thus a way to improve the CB room.

So while your opinion and evaluation may be viewed higher because you have a higher hit rate and I agree with that, it is not like you are perfect. I seem to remember you being Quite high on Dyoni Hill... but isn't it funny that everyone on here likes to use that as more evidence of the staff being bad at evaluations and that he should never have been a take? Lol. I happen to think you are quite good at evaluating, but I also dont think just because you are down on a guy it means it's a bad take. So many of y'all just like to view things with the worst negative slant possible. At least with you I can at least agree with your negative comments are usually thoughtful. But i truly believe the majority of the imbeciles on this board don't give a duck who the player is if it was Tacario Davis with a different name they'd be trashing us landing him.

I ain’t reading all that **** but since you originally responded to me, as it relates to your first paragraph I’ll just say I will absolutely not ***** about Karnley if he’s the 3rd or 4th best corner we bring in. The size and speed is worth taking a chance on, but we need people to play right away and if we don’t bring in others then yeah, I’ll think it’s a bad move.

So then you don’t disagree with what I said lol. Maybe you won’t we’ll just have to see. But I guarantee others would still *****.

There has been literally ZERO evidence Karnley was brought in with the intent of starting. If we do not land another CB it isn’t because we landed Karnley lol. It’s cause they failed to recruit/land Tacario/OConner/Lucas/etc

I agree. Which is the opposite of “Imagine we land Davis and yall still ***** about Karnley”, which is my point. Nobody has done that.

I never said I was perfect & my comment I had nothing to do with my own personal view of EK.

My point was, you said people would still be *****ing about EK if we landed Tacario & I pointed out why people were *****ing about EK in the first place.

That's not my personal opinion, that's the empirical data concerning EK.

How does someone watch his film & come away with anything other than what the data shows, is a work of mental gymnastics & trying to create a narrative in order to sell people on the idea of overlooking the data & the film.

There is no objective way to watch EK's film & come away with any other conclusion, it's simply not possible. So how does someone watch bad film & come away with a "positive" outlook on it?

That's all I'm saying. And that's why people are reacting that way, because it's commensurate to the actual play that they're seeing.

You notice how people didn't react that way when Brantley committed? Isn't it weird how pretty much the entire board thought it was a good pick up? You know why? Because there's proof in data & on film that he's actually a good CB.

You know why people have been feeling the opposite about EK, because there isn't any.
