Texas transfer Sheldon McClellan told CBSSports that he is looking at Marquette, Oregon, Illinois, Miami and Fresno.

Yes

Would love McClellan and Rodriguez to come in as transfers. We would hurt this year in the backcourt with Larkin likely to leave but in the 2014-15 season we would have McClellan, Rodriguez, Burnett(will get a lot of PT this year), Reed (same as Burnett), and Henriquez. That would be a pretty stacked backcourt. The frontcourt on the other hand is in disaray outside of Tonye.

Get Tarik Black and that solves the problem for this year at the 4, but not the future.

Means we really gotta land Price-Martin in next years class.

The Canes are also looking at European players and graduating seniors with eligibility left. Student-athletes who graduate with eligibility remaining can transfer to another school for grad school and play immediately. Tarik Black (Memphis), Josh Davis (Tulane), Mike Moser (UNLV) are in that situation.

“Today’s recruiting world is mind-boggling,” Larrañaga said. “Thirty years ago, it’s all about high school talent. Now, it’s high school, transfers, fifth-year graduates who can play right away, kids from overseas. It’s changed an awful lot. We’re exploring options.”

Wow I would love to get Mike Moser. Kid was great 2 years ago for UNLV. Him getting hurt and Anthony Bennett coming in really hurt him this past season.

UNLV junior forward Mike Moser is leaning toward transferring and spending his final season at Washington, where he would be eligible next season,
sources told CBSSports.com.

The 6-foot-8 Moser, who battled injuries this season and only averaged 7.1 points and 6.1 rebounds per game, will likely graduate this summer
and transfer. One source said he could still elect to put his name in for the NBA Draft, but that's unlikely.

"It's almost done that he's going to transfer and play at Washington," one source said.

Moser was regarded as a potential late first-round pick a year ago, after he averaged 14 points and 10.5 rebounds. However, the
injuries this season and the fact that he was unable to play power forward, his natural position, have resulted in his NBA Draft stock
dropping significantly.

Moser began his college career at UCLA under Ben Howland and barely played as a freshman with the Bruins.

we have a very good shot at Sheldon out of Texas, wouldn't be surprised if the big Diaz joined his teammate Angel from KSU either

Would love to pick up Sheldon. It would give us some experience plus it would help spread out the classes a little. We should never have 6 kids leave in one year again when we only had 11 on the roster.

I agree with the above.

David Hawker ‏@tarhokie3

"Alabama transfer @TrevorLacey5 is down to UNC, NC State & Miami..will take visits then decide..seems like a great fit for the Heels in 2014"

Davis Ferrell ‏@XaviMakesAMessi

"trevor lacey is reported to have planned a visit to state next weekend, unc 14-15 and miami weekend after that."

Yes please!

Strauzer, which of Sheldon McClendon and Lacey do you think we have the best shot at? Which one do you like the best? I personally like LAcey a little better, he's a better 3 point shooter and can handle the ball too. Could fill a role like Durand this past year.

We get the last visit.

That is great that we're looking at some 2014 kids (transfers eligible for 2014) but who else are we looking at in terms of immediately eligible players (recruiting, JUCO and transfers).

It seems that the list is

Transfers

- Davis,
- Black,
- Moser,

Recruits/JUCO

- Daxter Miles
- Wesley Myers
- Harold Givens

The only guys I can see the staff bringing in are one of Lacey or McClendon, Black if he wants in, Givens, or some guy overseas.

Moser and Davis are out of the picture.

I am mostly curious about guys eligible for 2013. Lacey and McClendon are not.
