Competition breeds success and we should have some serious competitions at numerous positions going into fall camp, so let's hear who we think will win starting jobs.
I will bold the positions where I think there are actual jobs up for grabs.

QB: Morris, Crow, Williams, Olsen redshirts
RB: Duke, Dallas, Dillard, one of the freshman or Hagans
FB: Hagans
WR: Dorsett, Scott, Hurns, Waters, Lewis, Coley there should be some serious battles to get into the rotation here, I'm sure I left someone out.
TE: Warlord, Sandland, Cleveland
OL: Seems pretty set IMO
LT: Flowers
LG: Feliciano
C: McDermott
RG: Linder
RT: Henderson
Bunche will be the swing OL who can play nearly everywhere
DE: Chick: maybe slides into DT on passing downs.
DE: Green (hopefully pushed by AQM or Hoilett)
DT:Porter
DT: Pierre
Robinson could be primed to challenge for a spot

SLB: Bond/Grace/McCord/Figs This should be a major battle
MLB: Gaines and Kirby another big battle
WLB: Perryman
CB: Gunter
CB: Howard/Crawford
CB: nickel: Burns/Dortch

S: Bush
S: Jenkins/Highsmith/Carter

Seems like we should have some good competition and hopefully some of the young kids can come and make a big push, especially at DE.

Didn't I hear the Eduardo Clements should be good to go this summer? Can't rule him out if he is 100%

Sorry bruh. But dont tell Bunche he wont get in the 5. Im not counting that guy out just yet. And dont count out Kacy Rodgers gettin a look at that Nickel spot. He played well there toward the end of the year. And I dont know if I trust Dortch or Burns there yet. Maybe the loser of Crawford/Howard will slide there and Rodgers/Dortch/Hope can fight for the dime spot. Burns has got to fight through some tall weeds to get on the field at DB. I think he might start out backing up Jenkins/Highmith. And Carter backs up Bush.

Who is Bunche beating out? Flowers and Henderson are the better players at T and Fleliciano and Linder are better at G. I like Bunche a lot but I like the other kids better.

I also hope K. Rodgers sees the field as little as possible next year, only on special teams if needed.

I know spring depth charts mean nothing but he was penciled in as the starter at guard IIRC going into the Fall. Yes. Feliciano was hurt. But this isnt a done deal, slam dunk like most people think. Like Al is gonna just hand Feliciano his job back when he is ready like he is Jake Long or something. He has to fight off Bunche for that spot and that wont be easy by a long shot. It will be fun to watch.

If you ask me would I rather have Rodgers/Dortch/Hope/Burns at that dime spot going up against FLA on Sept 7th I choose Rodgers all day until proven otherwise. That stage will be too big and Dortch is gonna be the goods one day but he got toasted in that spring game. Yes. Morris threw some perfect passes but that dont mean nothing when the lights come on and we down 21 points because he lacks ball skills or was just in the wrong position. There wont be anytime for that. Let Rodgers get a shot at it. JMO.

So you have Rodgers penciled in at CB when he has been at S nearly the entire time. I'm willing to give the kid a look at CB, but his instincts and ball skills leave a lot to be desired. I really feel like the starters at CB will be Gunter and then Howard/Crawford with the odd man out at nickel. I like Dortch a lot and feel like he'll play a lot against spread teams. Hope and is a wild card and I realize Burns will be a true Freshman but the kid is our most athletic CB and already has the size to compete for time.

As far as the OL is concerned, I like Bunche, having him as the swing OL is more because of how talented to the rest of the line is right now. Feliciano is a mauler at G and while I don't believe he'll be handed his job back I do believe he'll win it back. IMO this is the best OL we have had in a long time, I hope they can play that way consistently.

I can dig that theory. Maybe I just have a soft spot (no homo)for Rodgers cuz buddy gets absolutely destroyed by fans and I just think he is out of position. Dont think he is a safety. And he impressed me against VTech when they put him in the slot. I just get REALLY nervous when we start talkin about rolling guys like Dortch or Hope or Burns out there at dime spot on Sept 7th. I really wish we had more time to get those guys ready. But **** it is what it is. May the best man win.

Feliciano will get the job back. We can agree on that too.

I think the biggest factor in the CB debate is reps. Even Kacy has had more playing time at CB than Larry or Nate. And Nate had pretty **** good coverage in that spring game for the most part, just more cohesion from the offense. We have a long way to go, and it's hard to predict a fall scenario based solely off the spring game, and what we think we might maybe know about Burns and Carter. This isn't high school anymore for those two, they are ballers but there will be a learning curve for sure.

I notice that nobody is guessing re Field Goal kicker. Big question mark ,,, and it worries me!

I like Dortch a lot and really think he'll be the 4th CB. I'm willing to see if Rodgers can provide depth at CB but do not want him at S. I stuck up for the kid when people were blasting for the TD pass he gave up against F$U a couple years ago, but his play on the field showed more of the same. I could see him getting more reps at CB early in the year and then see Dortch, Hope, and Burns taking snaps from him relegating him to the bench.

Where ever Shayon name is should be Bolded, underlined, italicized, quoted, highlighted, etc. Dude has heart of a champ but if no knees, no athleticism, no production doesnt scream bullseye, Im coming for your head (spot), then I dont know what is. I like the kid and he is great motivation for the little web series they do but Im tired of sucking and having every and any qb straight up giddy to face a university of miami defense. We need to be feared again and it starts with someone who can get to qb and make him feel pain.

I really think the solution to the OL 'problem' we have is fixed once we move Linder to C... An OL of Flowers-Bunche-Linder-Feliciano-Henderson is unfair!

I love the guys heart as much as Al, but we desperately need a pass rusher to start over Shayon, hopefully jelani or holliet can develop into that

I hope we see more of the 3-4 look this year than 4-3. Really think we have some talent at LB. Curious to see how we use it.

- I think Bunche is going to make Feliciano sweat for that guard spot.

- Also I think Kacy Rodgers is probably a better CB then safety regardless of his size.... I remember watching him play CB i think it was against VT or FSU last year a few reps and he looked very confident and did a good job playing his assignment.
