Yea but Mario gonna take his merry old time as usual ….im going out on a limb and guess there’s no Cam Ward left in the portal….just a guess though

I agree with you to a point. I don't know if it's a trust factor or Mario just being risk adverse. I think this was Mario and Dawson going to the Clemson playbook. It was great while it was working.

I say this because the LSU WR committed to us after watching Emory throw. If you read my posts during the season, I said it was a huge mistake not getting our backup QB and backup WRs game reps during the season. There were games where the backups could have played in the 4th quarter, but we left the starters in.

We don't play the backups and then say they're terrible when they don't perform well in the bowl game.

The 2nd down throw from the 3 when you were killing them combined with putting in Jordan Lyle the RB instead of Fletcher or Martinez was a repeat of Syracuse. Game changed when Lyle was chosen to decide a drive.

He went with the future, don’t know what ya got until you do. He knows now it’s not Emery. Check. He knows now it’s not Guidry, check. But, some of those kids played well. Check. Let’s move on, and continue to build this team. Wanna sit and wallow in shoulda, coulda, go for it. Walk over and party with I State and their lame win. Move on. Some of our kids can play, let’s get them a QB.

He certainly looked like **** on the three opportunities he had calls that let him throw the ball. Or are you also judging him based on hand off after handoff called for him or was it the continuous stream of bubble passes that gave that away. I forget, y'all are the same dudes who though mawik rosier was God's blessings because he could complete a screen pass with the occasional down field ****.

Only thing to take away from this game was a COMPLETE **** JOB by Dawson who gave all the reps to cam and then when cam was pulled at the half Emory wasn't prepared for anything. Past that the only other clear assessment made here is either Dawson or Mario or BOTH don't trust Emory to execute the play book. Other thing I would agree on is he displayed zero pocket awareness or ability to move in the pocket. Kid was a ****** statue and was locked on to one or two reads entire time.

I ain't never been the one who holds my tongue. When something is good I'll say it just like when it's bad. Y'all should try that same thing.

Carson Beck gets knocked out. Gunner Stocton comes in and runs the offense. Cam is pulled, the coaches coach not to lose the game and Emory looks totally incompetent. Then with him looking incompetent, we go for 3 and the predictable ensues.

Atrocious end of the season - but fairly predictable - sadly.

the ultimate failure was on Mario and Dawson. they knew Emory was gonna play and they didn't ask him to actually play when they put him in. you would think with a month to prepare, Emory would be ready. 2 games in a row, Mario put the game in the defenses hand hahahaha
