My take on this...

I like BG & wanted him in this class, but if he wanted to play games them fine kid good luck up in Eugene...

Still think we should've offered Naytron Culpepper, but I'm not worried at all... I like Amari Carter & Derrick Smith, especially Amari.

Agree with this and IMO Amari will be a starter by next fall.. but at the end of the day, we have to stack chips at every position and losing a potential starter/ strong depth in Gibson is exactly what made our teams look the way it does now (no depth)

Ivins was told that Gibson, and his father, began sexting with Oregon. Then, Miami told him that if he was having second thoughts, they were going to move on and "in a different direction." He maintains that Miami liked Gibson, but that we weren't willing to play games.

If that's the case, I like the power move...Tired of us being yanked around by kids who should be feeling #blessed that we're even at the table...

I'mma need some more details on this ASAP!

Start a separate thread and list both of their first classes, TIA.

Miami had the number 10 class in the country according to 247 sports after Golden's first full season. NCAA cloud was in full swing.

Unless we close with Thomas, McFarland, Smith and Slaton there is no way we get to No. 10 this year.

I'm not either. And it's sad that we have some fans that like to clown on our coaches and don't blame the players as well.

On other teams boards, they fault the recruits. Clearly difference in culture.

The one I'd have liked to get is Daniel Wright and I'd have been interested in Shawn Davis. Those are the Safety upgrades we need. We need guys like Gilbert Frierson.

Golden's first full season class was a numbers game. I believe he had over 30 in that one. And a lot of those guys didn't even pan out/transferred/ got kicked off the team.

Ivins does a good job but he was saying the same things on Harley and the AH kids. Pete just needs to be more cautious with his language.
