Pete: Hearing anything on Billy Gibson

Been following recruiting 23 years and never seen such a strange cycle as this with all the south Florida kids averse to playing here.
Something strange has to be up when our defense was amazing last year and loads of local guys want nothing to do with us.

Richards is going to be a legend by the time he's done.

I don't follow these kids on Twitter, but his tweets that have been posted here have been gold. He's trying to recruit teammates, but he has no time for those kids that play games.

Love it.
 
This came out of left field like the OL a couple years ago that suddenly picked Stanford. This one definitely hurts.

Miami had the number 10 class in the country according to 247 sports after Golden's first full season. NCAA cloud was in full swing.

Unless we close with Thomas, McFarland, Smith and Slaton there is no way we get to No. 10 this year.

Golden's first full season class was a numbers game. I believe he had over 30 in that one. And a lot of those guys didn't even pan out/transferred/ got kicked off the team.

And we are certain that there won't be busts in this class? Development is one thing, which this staff proved this year they excel at. We're talking strictly recruiting right now. This staff is struggling on that end.
 
Man after that paradise camp things were so positive! I'm good with dumping him if he is playing games.

Meanwhile, the first response he gets is from a failure. Proving his point in glowing fashion.
 
Kid for the defense very well but let's not kid ourselves here, he had JAG written all over him. I'm fine with this. If we wanna get back to the top, our roster needs to stop being filled with JAGs anway. Good start.

Agreeed and with all due respect almost all the kids if not all the epic freshman was crotted by al folden. Hes a horrible coach but still

Previous staff performed miracles in recruiting, I will grant you that. Perry, Richards, Jackson, Pinckney, McLoud, Donaldson, Quarterman were all Golden/Cooley/Hill recruits. This staff still needs to prove that they can identify and recruit top tier talent.
