Perryman, Bush, Johnson, Scott updates

This.

Don't we want to instill discipline?

It's a fine idea on paper. But Bowden never disciplined anyone and all FSU did was reel off 14 straight 10-win seasons.

Obviously, we can't have kids running amok and raping everyone to death but it would be nice to know what Scott and EJ did.

And everyone ripped Bowden constantly for that. It was a running joke with everyone around the nation that FSU had players running steps for bad offenses. That's not the way to run a program, especially one under the NCAA's microscope.

Bowden booted Randy Moss for smoking weed.

No, he was kicked out of school after he tested positive for weed, while on probation and serving a 30-day work release program. He had to serve 60 days in jail after this, and FSU didn't really have a choice but to boot him. Bobby probably tried to keep him.

bobby has said he wishes he couldve kept randy but he just wouldnt stay the course when he went home. he was fine and in line when he was under bobbys watch but when he was away from FSU randy just did his thing. said this in a radio interview last year or two years ago can't rmr which.

There has been no accountability in this team since Butch. Golden has a degree in psychology. Let the man manage. You stay the course no matter what is at stake. Otherwise you are simply prolonging the transformation

you talk about accountability. well where is it when golden talks about his DC. covers his *** every time but throws fisch under the bus for everything. unfair to the entire offensive unit who put up 31 pts which should be more than enuff to win against uva

Show me one interview where he threw Fisch under the bus

After FSU and VT all kept saying was that it was a process and that they gotta keep working on things, despite the offensive going in the tank for large portions of those games.

lol you suspend you're best ******* defender for missing a god **** breakfast you deserve to be fired. Let that man thug on the field.

Im LOLing rereading some of these threads with people assuming why they were suspended or why the coaches did it, when you dont know the backstory

Its bringin the LULZ

The fact that people are ripping Golden for disciplining kids is absurd.

EJ and Scott are repeat offenders according to Golden this morning on his Monday Morning Show.

Herald made it sound as if EJ and Terry would be back if they had an "intense" week of practice.

ghost,
it's effing hilarious. "he missed breakfast?! golden should be fired!!"
yeah, i'm sure that's it.
we have some of the dumbest fans ever.

Some of these kids obviously have some growing up to do, hopefully they will before they do something to get their *** kicked off the team. I support Golden for laying down the law, it sucks but it is necessary

Golden absolutely has to be firm in his rules right now. He knows what he has in front of him. A football team comprised of sophmores and freshmen as well as near future sanctions. His discipline now will be paying of when these guys are seniors and.juniors and they will be policing the underclassmen. **** JJ didnt care when he needed to discipline he did. He cut a player for not participating in strength drills cause.dude had asthma. We gotta focus more on wtf is happening on the field and.why he.lets.his best friend run the defense in the ground

I personally like what he is doing with suspensions. He is creating an environment of accountability right now which is vital to long term success. I would rather have KIDS making mistakes this year than next year when it actually matters.

But what I can't tolerate is the fact that not once has he ever mentioned anything remotely close to disappointment in the defensive staff. It seems like everyone of those guys is getting away with murder.

Straight from Duke's mouth:

“I see guys on the team that I can just tell that they don’t want it,” Johnson said. “You just never know when your last down is going to be. So I’m going to take every down like it’s my last since there’s a lot of people that take it for granted.

and this is why Duke will be one of the greatest to ever play here. He is the epitome of the difference between "old" and "mature".

The jury may still be out on Golden in a lot of ways, but he's not an idiot. He wouldn't be suspending critical guys without a legit reason. Bottom line, you cannot ******* skip practice, or meetings, or team events, including breakfast, and get away with it. We missed EJ Saturday, but I can guarantee Golden got his message across in the locker room.
