It's a fine idea on paper. But Bowden never disciplined anyone and all FSU did was reel off 14 straight 10-win seasons.

Obviously, we can't have kids running amok and raping everyone to death but it would be nice to know what Scott and EJ did.

That's all well and good when you're a well-oiled machine.

But we're building from the ground up with a ton of first and second-year players. We can't have redshirt-freshmen breaking rules without consequence.

Exactly, at the end of the day you want a bunch of Pit bulls that you have on a leash Sunday through Friday, and then you cut em' loose on Saturday. He can't allow players to follow his rules when they feel like it.

And everyone ripped Bowden constantly for that. It was a running joke with everyone around the nation that FSU had players running steps for bad offenses. That's not the way to run a program, especially one under the NCAA's microscope.

Everything rule he strictly enforces today, will be enforced by the young guys when they are seniors and the leaders of this team. It just hurts not having EJ out there tho. I hope it's not for the VT thing, especially since it seemed like they started getting at him first. Either way, EJ and GT have bright futures. We need them to be disciplined for the games in the future, when it really matters and we're playing for something

Is anyone else concerned that all the "suspended players" are Golden players...?? We all say something about Cain, Jermaine Johnson, Ray-Ray, etc because they were Shannon players, now we have Golden's recruits doing the same dumb ****...

And it's fine to have a Bowden "boys will be boys" type attitude when your team isn't under the NCAA microscope. But we don't need that crap here, at least not right now. You can't build a program without discipline, and Golden's trying to build something here.
