okay straw man, but what's your point and what does it have to do with my post?

Just saying LSU's home atmosphere is unbelievable, his dad is from Louisiana, and they have a solid track record of putting db's in the NFL. That's a lot to walk away from too.

You’re right. Definitely tough to walk away from an area to which he has zero connection and has never lived.

Yo, this sh*t hurts. Having looked up to you and Dynasty for so long, it's a cold slap in the face. I now see he's a Cane lock.

WTF

Why if we get the first three, we get the fourth. Personally, I don’t think it necessarily follows.

If we get the first 3, we have a 50-50 chance that Surtain comes as well. They have stated that playing together would be something amazing. If 3 of your good football friends are staying home to play for the home team, what's stopping you from joining them? UM is much closer to a Natie than lsu at this point in time, and that bodes very well for our chances...we are trending up, lsu is stagnant

The experts are saying LSU, but me as a Miami can't understand it. It seems like Miami has every advantage over LSU. It's home. It has a coach with a better resume. It's on the upswing. Plus Surtain Sr. is loved by Dolphin fans. Play in the Hard Rock!

What experts said Surtain to LSU those at ESPN recruiting? They just had an article where they put the odds of teams by year if the 4 team playoff were always in effect. Same ESPN experts gave Miami less than a 50% chance of winning the 2001 playoff with Oregon right behind them. Then in 2002 they gave Ohio State a 46% chance of winning with Miami at 18%.

Again my point is you can’t take the brainstems seriously at ESPN. Whatever prediction they have regarding Miami bet on the opposite occurring.

I don’t think that’s going to be a factor for the Surtains.

Nobody really knows, of course.

But from everything that’s been published, the father really wants Raymond getting his son ready for the league at LSU, and they keep hyping their ties to LSU, so I’m just taking their word for it. We must keep recruiting them of course, but I don’t think it matters what the first three AH kids do. I believe they’re approaching it from the standpoint of what’s best for him and where they have the greatest comfort level, which they’ve publicly said is LSU. Hope I’m wrong.

Them and the 247 crystal ball. They say what they say, but I still don't get it. Sometime they're right and again to my point. Why leave S. Fl when we have all you need?

Really hard to argue against dude's resume. LSU may suck but has still made sure many of his DBs get to the league and are high draft picks. Hopefully Rumph can start pushing them out like that

Raymond is a mythological figure to UM fans. He’s an excellent recruiter, and LSU has recruited DBs well while he’s been there. He hasn’t taken any lumps of coal and turned them into diamonds. He’s taken great athletes and done a good job with them.

Like Surtain Sr said, you can get to the NFL from anywhere. Raymond wouldn’t do anything with Surtain that we can’t do with him here. He and his dad might be buying into that Raymond myth, but I doubt it. If they wind up at LSU it’ll be because Junior wants to go to the school his dad worships.

You think most 17 year old kids who follow those same DBs on twitter, IG, etc are saying to themselves, "Raymond didn't really find any diamonds in the rough and make them stars." Those kids see, he recruited them, he coached them, and they are in the NFL and for the most part are starters.

A guy sitting in your living room telling you about the recent, high draft pick and for the most part NFL DBs he has coached and put into the league is going to sway you big time even without the added influence of possibly your Pops telling you it would be great for you to go there

Forgive me for starting another thread, flipped through the last couple pages and couldn't find the PS2 thread....

I'll make it short, simple, and put my e-reputation on the line: I heard today that not only is it a guarantee we get an OV, but that a PS2 to miami prediction is easy money.

Y'all know I never lie, trust daddy's words, and sharpen your cigar cutters.
