Patrick Surtain jr.

I thought it was slight chance we get in the Surtain race a month ago with us emerging and LSU tanking but they have turned it around and have some impressive wins so unfortunately I think that’s a done deal.

No chance in **** we land both. At this point just give me Campbell, please. That’s a 3 and done CB and the best CB talent I can remember us signing since I’ve been following this recruiting ****.

You're basing your opinion on Surtain on the ebbs and flows of LSU's season? So what happens when Alabaga beats LSU by 35 tomorrow?

Recruiting doesn't really work that way.

No, I’m not BASING it off of that.
And trust me, I know how recruiting works, lol. I just thought LSU would really have to blow it on the field this year to LOSE him. By blow it I mean have the type of year FSU is having. Since they aren’t, beating UF and AU, being underdogs vs. both, well I think they are going to do enough to keep him in the fold along with a hefty amount of $ to sew things up more than likely.
And Alabama throttling them isn’t going to change anything. He came out and recently said LSU is on top, this is months after they got embarrassed by Troy and Miss. St so I don’t think Alabama doing what everyone EXPECTS them to do is going to change a thing.

I'm not going to get into all that, but why do you have to bring up money? Parents are set, kid doesnt need it nor do they.

I haven't heard a peep about anything bad with this young man or his family and you're going to toss dumb **** like that out. His dad played there and you don't think he's basically had his kid liking LSU from day one? ****, my little guy is only four and he knows the U and I'm just a fan.

Leave the dumb **** out on good dudes.
Truth.

You’re right, could have kept that out of there. But, I thought dad went to Southern Miss, not LSU?

Sorry, from Louisiana and it was his dream to play for LSU.

As a parent, you want for your kid better. Sometimes parents even live a little through there own and project. While I'm sure Sr. loves his alma mater and they believed in him when LSU didn't, you never forget your number one.

We just need to keep winning and recruiting the kid. Never know what happens mannnnn if we get Surtain Jr & Campbell with the DBs already committed.....teams might as well run the ball every play.

You dont refer to the QB of the team you're legitimately interested in as lil fella, he's not interested. It may change but right now nope. We got plenty of talent coming in at db so whatever.

That was the Dad talking not the son....

Probably meaningless, but...

Odd comment about Malik.

I thought it was a condescending comment until I realized it was the father and not the son. That totally changes how I interpret it.

I knew it was the dad. What makes it odd to me is that an adult head ball coach with a kid being recruited by UM publicly stated what he did about Malik. The comment about not being sold on Malik was unnecessary and just struck me as weird from a guy who should know better.

Yea i was suprised how short Rozier is 5'11 at best...but man oh man he comes to play every game..First time in a long time after I felt ltike this but after he threw his 3rd int i wasnt worried about him at all

He’s unflappable. His legs are something we’ve never had or never used with a QB. It’s very hard to beat that VT defense without a QB who can run the ball.
