Many prayers for your son and family. No doubt our Canes are that greatest. Golden and staff are fantastic people and any of us who say otherwise just confusing coaching with being men. There are reasons players, students and fan love THE U and what you were just given is one of them. I have a dear friend of mine is a very holy Priest and Cane fan. I will arrange for him to offer a Mass in the ancient Latin Rite of the Catholic Church for your son. If you PM me the info about when and where your son's procedure is I will see if he can stop by and pray for him. May the Good Lord grant you a healing and His Blessed Mother protect and comfort you. GO LITTLE CANE.

Best of luck to your son and your family! There is nothing worse than your child being sick be it the flue or something worse. My oldest had a heart condition that needed surgery. When she was in surgery it was the worst 2-3 hours of my life. Amazing how they can bounce back. 5 years later she just ran 2 miles at a cross-country meet 15:55 at age 12. Again my thoughts and prays are with him and your family. Keep us posted on his fight.

Amazing stuff man! That was the best thing I've ever seen posted here. Carter must have been having so much fun.

Tell me about your son's reactions to all this. I'm sure that was incredibly touching to you and your wife to see your son experiencing all of that. I used to volunteer for make a wish here in Orlando and I know how special it is to see all of those kids faces light up with joy.

I wish Carter and your family all the best. God bless.

PS. I emailed Lindy and told her what an amazing job she is doing.

He was shy in some parts, with the players he was wide open. The Make a Wish student volunteers chased him around campus trying to get his autograph, take pictures with him, and tried to get him to their ice cream social. Pretty funny.

Awesome stuff. I am on the Board of Directors at Make a Wish for Central and Northern Florida and I'm so glad your wish was a success!! I wish there was not a need for us to grant wishes and all children were healthy all of the time, but the fact is, unfortunately, that is not the case. Every month I am honored and privileged to see the the power of a wish, as it is how we start our meetings. Thank you so much for sharing your wish-story, my favorite of the 15 years of wishes I have heard because of my devotion to the C-A-N-E-S!!.

Everyone who was touched by this story please know that every chapter is responsible for their OWN funding. I know you see the national stuff, like on ESPN, and think we have endless amounts of money, but the fact is we can only spend what we make and while people are generous, the cost to fulfill a wish is very expensive so please consider donating to your LOCAL chapter, believe me, they need it!! Also, if any of you are in the Orlando area, I am chairing a Casino Night and Texas holdem tournament and ALL of the funds are going to Make a Wish. I'm not a rich man, so I donate my time. I am hoping to raise enough to grant 5 wishes, about $38K, but I need to get people to the event to make it a success. We have some great prizes and it's only $100 to attend. Hopefully I attached the registration form correctly, but if not and you are interested, please e-mail me at jcloutier@lammco.com or www.mawcasino.kintera.org

D, thank you for sharing your experience, and I send my prayers out for your son, and your family and wish you all the best.

It is encouraging to hear that your son is getting to experience something truly special during what I'm sure is a difficult time for all of you...

Ohhhhhhh
