im not that concerned with safeties.
We pretty much know what we will get....
we have two guys that are "solid" tacklers....both lack long speed and range though...but both have experience and will provide some sort of leadership(VT atleast) to a young d-squad.
One problem on our d more important than safety to me will be @ dend.....who the heck will rush the passer?....we have a grand total of 5 dends......2 of them are severely undersized and the others have done nothing much outside of Chick(whoo is just a solid edge rusher).......not getting much f a rush will force us to blitz ...which will leave our safety guys your worried about having to cover alot more ground than normal.
I'm not that worried about our safeties because i know their limitations and what too expect from them....hopefully our d-cord can figure out what they do best and put them in position to suceed an not pigeonhole them into something their not.
I agree with you that DE is a concern, I'm hopeful that Cain, McCord, and maybe even O'Donnell can have an impact opposite Chick. With the S we have I see us having real issues again on the deep ball and with terrible angles. I forgot about R. Jenkins, hopefully he can make a quick transition for us because we desperately need his athleticism back there. My main hope was that Crawford would play well enough to take one of the S spots, now with him on offense we are looking at another year of VT and RRA.
